Title: RCDhamaka Issue
Post by: kapilvyas on September 17, 2010, 03:21:51 PM
I don’t know what is the problem with rcdhamaka guys they speak so rudely I had ordered some tuff on Monday 13/09/2010 and transfer the money that time in the morning. And the shipment was not out till Tuesday 14/09/2010 evening. On Wednesday 15/09/2010 I had send a SMS for the tracking number there was no reply from them and then I send one more SMS on Thursday 16/09/2010 same no reply then finally I called on Friday 17/09/2010 and ask for the tracking no they tell me don’t call or SMS me you tracking number  will generate and will be send to you but till now nothing.

This is not the first time the shipment is late my last shipment was 1 week late after ordering and transferring the money.

After paying we get this kind of answer it is very bad.

It is a request to you from my side
You should just email or SMS the tracking no to the entire hobbies guy who orders at your website it creates a great impact as a good hobby supporter.
As you are supporting this hobby in India.

Thank you very much for the detail.

No wonder if someone loses their patience after looking at this kind of post.

Hobby shops are no Blood bank/Grocery store that you order something and they dispatch immediately. Even world wide hobby shops like Towers/Hobby King take minimum of 3-5 day to ship out. Patience is key in this hobby and consider that such low volume sales in this hobby, no LHS can have  24x7 customer support.

The question was 2 part - the main issue according to me was the fact that, they were rude. With so much competition, being rude is the last thing i would expect from an Indian sellers.

& BTW all of the hobby shops i have ordered from world wide, always ship the same day - sometimes even on a saturday

Same day ? you betcha ? I really doubt , even if it is an EMS... I have enough of shipment from scores of Amazon sellers, B&HPhotoVideo, Adorama, RIE, et all. Same day shipping comes at a premium, or sold as USP, and not a default/guaranteed SLA. Test the water then speak.
As far as rudeness of LHS goes, read on this and the other RC forum of the country. RCDhamaka along with Rotor/Rcforall have been standing out in customer satisfaction. You would hardly find LHS who may ready to spend hours to explain/suggest R/c hobbyist.

Ask your friend when did he call Rcdhamak? One should think twice calling business during non-office hours and on personal number.  Think again who has been rude. People need to grow up and deal with LHS to some level, and not bring all such petty domestic issue to the forum as the first thing.

I had been waiting for this thread to die a natural death, but it seems to be living forever. So here is my two bit worth. I've had the pleasure of dealing with RCD and Kartik twice in the last few months and I have found them to be very professional and courtious. My first shipment reached me within 56 hrs of my depositing money in their account. To top it off I got a call from Kartik within 1 hr of the package delivery to confirm if I had gotten the package. My second package reached me within 5 days. The same can be said about Sai from rcforall. His courier reached me in 5 days flat. Though I have not had the pleasure of dealing with any other LHS, I feel the indian resellers are doing a great job. Once in a while there might be some hitches but on the whole, khudos to the LHS's.
As for rudeness, that was one thing I did not find in any of my 10 odd calls before and after my orders to both the LHS's. Both of them were very soft spoken and courtious.
Doc

Thanks doc for the testimony. This is exactly what was missing. People come up only when they run into issues. I pick things from RcDhamaka by dropping at their office and have no 'shipping stories' to  share, apart from having seen cargo guys pick and drop packages and that likes of Deccan 360 and not Foo-Bar cargo, on my each visit.

Just last Friday I called up Sanjeev Sir very late regarding some building material(which  I cannot name here as they have not put it up on site  just because of funny demands from few people)  . Even though it was nearing closing time, he asked me to come, and spend full 2 hours explaining what else to use for plan I was working on, and even gave some rare items which he got for his personal use. Now this is not at all rude in any of the three language's dictionary, I know.

I am repeating my post of 04/03/10:

" I have not bought too much stuff from RCD but I would, honestly, rate them as the best. This is the way business should be done!"

Hi All,

I have a few things to say.... ;D
While we all know that RCDhamaka is one of the most customer centric sites  {:)} ( and I can vouch for the same)to buy goods from at the same time if a feedback is provided to ther service provider the same should be taken in a constructive manner by taking care of needs of the customer or educating him/her in the right way, I feel if we all come and jump  :o on the person providing feedback with our testimonies of RCD then the purpose of providing any kind of feedback is defeated.
What you might feel about RCD is not neceserally what others experience, so give the lad a chance to voice out his opinions and settle things with the service provider.

Imagine : If you buy a Nokia phone and it stops working you take it to Nokia store and the person on the Nokia desk does not take your complaint seriously, when you provide feedback to Nokia a thousand satisfied customers jump on you.... ha ha ha .. imagine how you would feel.

PS. Now dont you dare jump on me..... ;)

Exactly my point.

I am not stressing RC Dhamaka are prodigal saints. What I am stressing is unjust expectation of hobbyists like 24-hours shipping and Tracking information. the tendency of pulling out the guns so quickly. I myself encourage people to bring out grievances on this forum. But that should happen only if the Sellers does not reply in a reasonable time (like it happened with few sellers in the past).
I am sure RCDhamaka does not claim to be a Six-Sigma company. Out of many fully satisfied customers, few might run into small issues. But such stray incidents should not be put under such a bad light.

What I would like to hear from Kapil, who started the thread, if the information provided was reasonable or not and if was not satisfied at the end of the day.

This thread is just about another case of communication (or lack of it).  Like Ujjwal and Divay said, any store should live up to *reasonable* expectations of its customers. And it seems like (and from personal experience), RCDhamaka does fit the bill.  As long as opinions expressed on the forum are NOT totally one sided that the long history of great customer service from a store like RCD goes unnoticed, I would totally encourage people to post their grievances here.  I am confident that the RCI community will "say it as it is", and "reality" would prevail at the end.

I don't think any one considers RCD as "prodigal saints". But  I think it would be fair to hear their side of the story.

I think the post made later by Kapil should have closed this post. But it seems to linger on.

The Amount was received by us in our account on the 14th of Sept. we despatched the goods on the 15th Sept and it was out for delivery in Mumbai on the 16th Sept.

This post was started on the 17th of Sept

We still have kept our commitment of sending the goods out.

Regarding the rudeness i think those issues are sorted out as their was some communication gap.

We also request our customers to call between 10:30 am to 5:30pm on the no listed on the website and not on the personal mobile nos of the Directors. Pls note that at times we receive calls from many customers at odd hrs, kindly request those customers to refrain from call at odd hrs.

Also please wait for the shipment to reach you, if you do not get it, then kindly mail and if you do not get a reply then pls call us. Also please note that we also follow-up on the shipments once it is sent from our side.

Also note that FEEDBACK can be given to the Store by way of writing or logging a complaint about any kind of service, if those go unanswered over a reasonable time frame then the Forum is the right place to bring about the grievances. What many don't understand is that by just jumping the Gun and posting something on the forum is not the correct method of doing things.

We would like to thank all our customers for their support till date, we too are totally committed to a high level of customer satisfaction that we are known for till date and will continue in the future also.

Thanks
Team RCDhamaka
