Title: RE branded products
Post by: rcforall on November 13, 2009, 06:40:08 AM
On one of the threads Ujjwal  mentioned the Brand HXT which he has read  about on forums like RCG hence I thought I will clarify
HXT is not a manufacturer they  buy from OE suppliers and rebrand it .
So you will not find this brand  with many suppliers  as  major shops like BP Hobbies , Grayson Hobbies  and a few others are doing exactly what HXT is doing .
In our case the RCFORALL products are also the same case  we buy from OE suppliers and sell these products  here , We have been  selling these very products for the past couple of years  .

Servos upto 9 gms are being sold by us for Rs 375/- which is very close to the price calculation of Ujwal  and have been doing so for the past 2 years , we have sold 1000's of these servos till date  and the quality has been very consistent  with return rate marginally above  zero .

Thanks Mr Sai,
Understand, the below the niche brands, there is only one underground. Again, when you are not buying Sanwa/Futaba/JR/Hitech servos, you have to totally rely on some one's review. Thats where forum like these and bigger brethren like RCgroup/univ comes handy. Again, its advice/review between hobbyist to hobbyist which builds the trust, and unless other review your product (and not just you with your kind announcement), it would be difficult for new comers like us to experiment with grey items (while we also like to spend on economical items). Never the less you always get what you pay for, we always look best bang for our R$.

You are right, keeping reviews apart, I don't much problem with the absolute price. Its just chicken and egg problem.

As far as the problem of choice goes, I think its  there everywhere, be it racing cars (real) Para gliding, Trekking, Photography. Its hard for the LHS to store all the items. But few hobbies like those in Photography at least have some choice to some extent (regarding standard brands like Canon/Nikon). But then those hobby have much much larger base/opportunities and far less Govt /infrastructure hurdles.

May be, all we need to do is to make the hobby a little more popular. The biggest hurdle is, the cost and dedication/expertise required. I really respect people like Adarsh doing RC shows and wish it attracts more and more people. It would be good for everybody.

May be the (only) Sunday sorties one has in the airfield becomes bit crowded. But then it may pave path for more dedicated runways like those in Chennai.

I am just selfish, to fulfill my hobby, to have the accessibility of abundant materials at cheapest price. I think each and every enthusiast would like the same.
