Hi all members,
There seem to be 7 types of sellers on the forum.
(Other than those who simply gift stuff, like Gusty, or those who lend to newbies, like...)
1. Those who are aeromodellers, have been members for long, and occasionally offer something for sale. They are either getting rid of stuff they no longer need, or meeting someone's specific requirements. Not commercial minded, often give away stuff for free. Eg, Col Sundaram
2. Guys who supply specific items at specific prices, like gajjark, from whom you can get balsa/ply without the slightest doubt
3. Regular LHS who are reliable, with occasional glitches that usually get sorted out
4. Individual suppliers of mostly Hobbyking stuff, who have built up a reputation by word of mouth, like adiboy on this forum
5. Youngsters/students who see an e-commerce opportunity
6. Local Hobby Stores like THS, against whom there are many many complaints
7. Out and out fraudsters

Let us just be careful with the last two.

Regarding youngsters/students who see an e-commerce opportunity, let us ask for specific details, like 'is it new, is it used, will you refund if not satisfied, etc', even if they offer some freebies.

Ultimately, it is caveat emptor!

Yes, the thehobbyshop.in is a big fraud. The online site is active but do not ever buy from it. They will never ship the product. Big cheat!!

Patient Zero

Sir one more, beginners(who get frustrated after crashing) and expert/intermediate people who leave this hobby
The latter can be trusted. Even the beginners can be trusted but not always.

Build planes like feathers rather than tanks, both handle bullets equally well.

Agreed ,we have to ask for specific details, like 'is it new, is it used, will you refund if not satisfied, etc', even if they offer some freebies.
