Title: Spektrum Radio Dealers in India
Post by: ujjwaana on October 20, 2009, 09:28:07 PM
Trying to fulfill my childhood dream of RC flying so getting a Radio to to Sim with, before I buy a plane.

I am really smitten with Spektrum DX7, mainly due to availability of many Rx models and the sheer functionality/display.

Sadly, none of the Indian dealers seems to supply one. If you know some one selling Spektrum, kindly revert.

Thanks in Advance,
Ujjwal

Rotor Chennai has Spektrum.

If you do not see the exact model  or combo you are looking for, I believe they can source it for you.

Others may have it too.

thanks Anwar guru for your reply!
I know that JR and Spektrum  DSM2 sets are identical and inter-operable. But I was more keen from the Spektrum OEM as it looked a better package.
I called Rotor people and 19000 + Tax is on the tad higher side. More over JR DSX7 seems to be discountinues as I hardly see it listed in major hobby stores.

Last night I got some discount coupons from Tower's and a Futaba 7C/Rx/4 Digi Sx/TX-Rx batteries is costing me Rs 15K including shipping after the $75 coupon. I guess going futaba sounds a better option as my potential trainer has Futaba system and I saw comparable micro/nano Rx for Futaba as well.

Please everybody, any last time advice on shipping form Tower's would be highly appreciated as I would be placing the order by evening.

Yep, JR and Spektrum as pretty much the exact same thing at this level/model (7 channel).

Did you also talk to the Rotor folks about getting a Spektrum DX7 itself ?  They bring in stuff from Singapore as needed, so it may be possible.  Not sure if that is limited to only items on their website now.

Futaba receivers are still a bit costlier, should not be an issue if you are looking at the park flyer level.

Can't comment on importing to India from Tower, didn't do it yet. They are one of the most reliable sellers online, not just RC.  There are many threads here already with shipping advice from Tower (and others).

Hi,

now the link seems to be dead.

Don't find any Spektrum Dealers for India.

UMS Technologies is a dealer here, but their pricing is extremely high. You are better off getting a JR Radio from RCD than a Spektrum from UMS.
