Hi Everybody, I want to know the purchasing formalities of the thehobbyshop.in. Because i ordered some items from the thehobbyshop.in. i transferred the money same day(27th-aug-11). i got a phone call from the seller that " we will ship the item on next working day". From that day to till now i didnt receive any message except "we packed your items and onam festival is going on your order is processing". I tried to call so many times to the seller but he is not answering. Is this a normal thing?

I had very good experience with Pankaj (the owner), long before he started the store; a nice gentleman. I got a parcel from him the next day of the payment via speed post. It is also true that due to the Onam holidays in Kerala, he mayn't be able to ship your item.

I have dealt with this company. The response is terrible & I am afraid I might have dealt with a person of questionable ethics. I ordered a Turnigy Radio + simulator and very next day he calls me asking for payment stating that if someone else pays then he will need to sell it to him. So I pay him Rs. 6,115 on the 5th Sep 2011. He tells me the shipping will be on Wed 7th Sep 2011. On 7th when I called he tells me that Onam festival prevents him from shipping.
Did Onam suddenly fall from the sky without warning? He should have told me that when he committed shipment. On Saturday 10th Sep 2011, I find out that the DTDC Calicut Br. is open so I inform him the same & he should ship. But he is 35 Kms. away and so that is not possible. So I ask him Monday 12Sep 2011? And he confirms that. Yesterday 14th Sep 2011 he sends me a tracking number which is not DTDC but Speedpost. Can you beat that! He charges 430 for DTDC and sends by speedpost which is Rs. 80. Then he SMS me asking for a/c no. to refund the shipment difference.
Since I have lost all faith in this man I am expecting him to ship dried hay and cowdung in the box. I have learned my lesson  and if you need anything deal with RCD and RCD only. If it still is a Turnigy then I am not going to use it and put it up for sale here.
My advice - DO NOT BUY FROM hobbyhop.in

After 27th aug there are somany working days. I know Onam festival is in between and he got atleast 12 working days. I asked him regarding any stock problem, he said "no sir your order is packed and ready for shipment". Is it faithfull.

You placed your order with DTDC Plus shipping method ,I gave it  to a franchisee in our campus and they didn't ship it in two days (they have a threshold no. of packages then a courier guy comes and takes the packages to city),so i took it back from 'em and sent it by speed post. Your excess amount is sent to your given account via NEFT. I really have no idea why you are being so furious and giving suggestions about farming and other things.


PS:All orders which have 3s 2200 mah lipo are getting delayed as One package came to us completely wrecked and have faulty lipos .Such persons can ask for a refund or wait till17th september.

I am not criticizing anybody..At the time of order you told me that i will ship the items on 1st September. i called you on the 9th sept and asked you regarding any shortage is there for the lipos. Yourself you said "no no your pack is ready just waiting for shipping" what it means.is the same mean what you stated above. If the stock is not with you, you should have tell that thing. My order is not much but credibility is important. I will wait for 17th sept..thanks

I had a good experience with Mr Pankaj, the owner. I dealt with him before the opening of his Hobbyshop.
He is a nice and gentle guy.

He kept his commitment.

No he didn't...

Unfortunately this shows "forward trading" which is booking against expected material. That cannot be justified.

Message for LHSs - or for that matter anybody trading - : Do not offer what you do not have in hand/shop. Or if you do, clarify that is a booking against "back order" and therefore without a firm delivery date.

After 30 days he refunded my money.. I want to order some more items from him because his prices are competitive. Lets see

their support is fast.i wish to get my items asap.

Yes they are fine. Bought many items from mr.pankaj without any issue. Just call or mail if you have any query.

i too had a same experiece, but that wasint terrible as some had stated.... It took some 7 days including a public holyday(same story).... But he was good in communication.....
