Title: too many hobbyist turned LHS?
Post by: PankajC on September 09, 2013, 10:53:24 PM
I do not know whether it is me or not, but i do see a pattern. People getting into the hobby and the  after a few online purchases from hobbyking and other sites, start ordering in slightly larger quantities and create an online LHS. Most of these garage stores - no, not exactly garage stores, more like the roadside cart shop type stores have very little to offer in terms of items. Seems more like inventory surplus being hawked. I cannot comment on the service quality as I have refrained from transacting from such stores.

When i had joined in 2009, i used to see a lot more hobby related topics, but these days the homepage looks more like the classifieds of a newspaper.

True.
Viable?
Good for us as it saves us some trouble, or unreliable suppliers?

Free market economics dictates that only a few, the fittest and best, will survive.

But it is a shame that it clutters up the forum so much. Maybe a separate section which does not show up on the homepage? People who are  in the market as buyers can go there, the rest can blissfully continue
