Title: VERY BAD DEALINGS WITH THEHOBBYSHOP.IN
Post by: heliboycochin on June 22, 2012, 02:12:28 PM
I purchase my hk 450 frm thehobbyshop.in, owner name pankaj
he tell me that he have all items in stock , and its a full kitt will given
i have transfer all the payment as he told to me , but whn the courier arrived , the main parts, of motor, gear. screws r missing, a very bad pacaking, and it take 2 weaks to get me radio and gear
then i order in a lipo battery for heli, but he give me a lipo battery for transistor, verry bad dealings with him, and giving all low quality items, all r scratchs, waste for money, iam very sad abt his dealings.. he dosent know the basic of the rc setup..
i found that Rcbhharat & rcbazar good dealings... very friendly..answering all doughts to me as a biggner

I've got a mixed opinoin about thehobbyshop.in. I bought an ultra-cheap LiPo 2S-3S charger from him- that was my first purchase and it went fine. But soon after, THS turned disappointing. I ordere something that was in stock as per their website. But they didn't have it, so asked them to transfer the amount back and ship the remaining part of the order. It was shipped after 2 weeks: that wa some 2 months ago. I am yet to be transferred the money back.
Their response to e-mails is also poor.
I think THS mainly serves NIT calicut. Maybe offline sales exceed their online sales, so not much attention is paid to online-buyers, perhaps?

Nevertheless, I like his site and inventory he keeps. ;D . Just the communication and wrong orders and stock management and shipping times must be checked. :P

do some research before putting your money

This was the complaint

This was the Advice given by Sushil Anand

Looks like he took your money, then ordered with Hobby King, HK is known to mess it up often, they sent mode 1, also looks like you were also thrust upon some used stuff.

Pankaj

you started your LHS with the help of (Loosely put) RCI, need to come clean buddy

Please use the trader rating and reputation systems here to express positive and feedback.  They act as guidances to future  buyers.

Also, if you intended to get on Mode 2, please do so.  Mode 1 is disappearing quickly, and it may cause you issues down the line with sharing/testing with others.  And if you are intend to fly helis mostly, then Mode 2 is preferred anyways...  search the forum to see why.

Hmmm! I've just placed my first order with Pankaj today and transferred the money. So, let's wait and see if he's able to make or break another customer relationship! Will update! As of now I've been informed that the stock is available.

Most Tx (and the Turnigy/iMax 9x v2) can easily be converted from Mode 1 to Mode 2 (and the other way round) just by undoing some screws and springs. *I do not know about its implication on the warranty of the unit, so please check* but I've recently changed mine from Mode 2 to Mode 1 (the hardware sticks, not via programming). I originally learnt on Mode 2 but now I am flying Mode 1 now so had to do the change :). I don't know but I find Mode 2 was much intuitive :). Personal preferences.

Nothing was missing in the package.Seethal joseph said that if you people are not agreeing to assemble this heli for me i will post serious negative feedback on various indian rc forums (yes he did).Transmitter was sent in 5 days delay (and the buyer was informed regarding the same) as we had partially moved to pune .Planes and remotes were in calicut.so heli kit was shipped from pune and tx was shipped from calicut. Please find attached snapshot (sensitive information is not visible) of his order  regarding the mode1 and mode2 problem.(he ordered mode1).

Seethal joseph said that if you people are not agreeing to assemble this heli for me i will post serious negative feedback on various indian rc forums (yes he did).

IF that is true... a customer holding the store hostage to force them to assemble, why did you NOT cancel the order and him to take a walk ?

Title: Re: VERY BAD DEALINGS WITH THEHOBBYSHOP.IN
Post by: thehobbyshop.in on June 30, 2012, 08:31:10 PM

After getting the kit he knew that it is a KIT and NOT RTF.In our discussion on phone he said he is new to this hobby,so we included a 24 pages printed manual (which is normally not sent to any other kit buyer).

Title: Re: VERY BAD DEALINGS WITH THEHOBBYSHOP.IN
Post by: anwar on June 30, 2012, 08:34:48 PM
So he threatened after getting the kit in his hands ?  Did he volunteer to send it back ?

Title: Re: VERY BAD DEALINGS WITH THEHOBBYSHOP.IN
Post by: thehobbyshop.in on June 30, 2012, 08:46:10 PM

Seethal sir never asked about sending the items back.Even now he can send all the items by Speed post /Courier and after receiving the items we will refund his FULL money.

Title: Re: VERY BAD DEALINGS WITH THEHOBBYSHOP.IN
Post by: anwar on June 30, 2012, 08:50:59 PM
Pankaj - What is lost in translation is here is when was the threat made.  If it is before the item was shipped from your side, you should not have shipped it, and cancelled the order.  If it is after the item got shipped, he should have at least agreed to (or volunteered to) ship it back to you for assembling, right ?

When (and "IF")  there is a serious allegation that "a hobby store is threatened with bad reviews on forums (including this one) by a customer", that is a misuse of the forum, and the audience needs to know the whole story.  Hence these questions.  So please answer to the point (for your own benefit).

And please use the "Reply" option instead of "Quote", when you are responding to the last post in a thread.  There is no need to duplicate the last post.

Title: Re: VERY BAD DEALINGS WITH THEHOBBYSHOP.IN
Post by: thehobbyshop.in on June 30, 2012, 09:01:47 PM
IF that is true...

When (and "IF")

He Threatened AFTER getting the KIT.I have no proof as it was a telephonic conversation.

PS:I hope that both quotes above are necessary.

Title: Re: VERY BAD DEALINGS WITH THEHOBBYSHOP.IN
Post by: anwar on June 30, 2012, 09:09:11 PM
I put the quotes there as a mark of neutrality.

I guess we will see Seethal's point of view when he responds, including the wrong lipos being shipped.

There are multiple other people who seem to have had issues with delays, per the posts above.  May be keeping things clear (in terms of stock position) would help reduce a lot of these issues.

Title: Re: VERY BAD DEALINGS WITH THEHOBBYSHOP.IN
Post by: thehobbyshop.in on June 30, 2012, 09:24:55 PM
Yes Anwar sir, Stock management is a problem. And we always refund full money.Sometimes the problem is from our end and sometimes people order backordered items. Now backordered items can NOT be added to cart since 8 june,it shows a sold out image instead of add to cart. There is no professional web developer involved,so adding features or trying to show what you want is a little painful ,but things are and will get better.

Looking for Support and Suggestions from RCindians.
THS.

You remember order #901 ? That was some months ago, so I don't think you still do. Let me remind you - you owe me a refund of  :Rs: 320
The amount is small, I don't mind that. But it's a mark on your services.  :-\ . The A/c details had been sent twice, but the refund wasn't given.
This is not to ask you for a refund, you can simply ingore this message.  :)

Most people use Align manuals to build their clone helis.  And you did not respond to his claim that you threatened him with bad reputation.

First of all, why did you decide to buy a 450 heli, even though you are a complete novice and had no access to local help ?

What gave you the impression that building these helis are simple ?

If you expected an assembled heli, why did you not confirm the same before the order was placed/shipped ?

It seems like you made a lot of bad decisions, and are now blaming the store entirely (instead of partially) for your missteps.

'thehobbyshop.in' is a long standing member of this forum with some repute. I doubt if they would 'cheat' anyone. There must be some grey area, somewhere. I am sure they will respond and sort things out.

you can mail them with all the details like order number, amount paid etc.
Last time i dealt with them they said they have some tech issues with their sites and theyre unable to pull out any order info. and they usually call me to confirm the order and item list.
no worries.

This is the first time I am buying from them and since they have not been replying to my mails, no order status on the site, cell phone switched off, also the holiday thing was not mentioned  on their site, so I am a little worried, now I might have exaggerated using the word cheating but I am in a problem dealing with them.

Sanjay sir cheating is a big word but a new comer like him will worry a lot in this.. I am also in the same situation now.. I ordered and done the payment after a while the page automatically reloads and asked me ti checkout again..
;D
I was shoked.. that no order number displayed and no status there.. just all my items are in cart and the money already debited..
Called them twice but switched off..
Mailed them no reply..
So was waiting for last 4 days...
But I know this site is running for quite a long time and is reliable that is why I decided to wait a bit more..
Now will see what is gonna happen after 10th..

If that is the reason, they do NOT deserve to be in business.

These days, it takes a few minutes to put a "We are on holiday between X and Y dates" notice on their website (which they can do ahead of time also, as long as the start date is mentioned!), so that they can avoid all this negative press.  If they don't have time to care even that much for their audience/customers, then people should not care about working with them either.

The seller on ebay is "indian.hobby.shop" aka Bhavesh Kumar, based in Patna
and think is different entity than thehobbyshop.in.
I just bought some items from him and the parcel was delayed due to Diwali but he called me up and provided me details on why it was late and reassured me. After 40 to 50 transactions on eBay, he was the very first seller to call me up!

Title: Re: Possible cheating by thehobbyshop.in
Post by: IndianHobbyShop on November 10, 2013, 12:36:21 PM
Just stumbled upon this post.

Yes, We (Indian Hobby Shop) are completly different from thehobbyshop.in
The orders being discussed above with "No response" are not ours.

There have been many instances of this confusion with the names. Should we change our store name? Any Suggestions?

We only have an online store on eBay and we won't have any website (yet).

Due to Chhath Puja in Patna our Logistics Partners (FedEx and Blue Dart) were closed on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th. As a result we were unable to ship out the packages during these days.
We did already put up the message stating the same on our eBay store as well as on every individual listing on eBay on Thursday 7th itself.

Our eBay store was open during the holidays and we were packing orders, etc but due to Courier Offices being closed, we were not able to ship out the packages.
Those orders will be shipped out on Monday.

And if there's anything that stops us from shipping out the packages within 24 hours of receiving the order then we do intimate our customers and prospective customers about the same via multiple communication option like:
> Putting message on eBay Store
> Putting message on every individual listings
> Sending a message over eBay to the customer after an order  is placed
> Calling them if they don't acknowledge the receipt of the message within 12 hours.

Looks like he took your money, then ordered with Hobby King, HK is known to mess it up often, they sent mode 1, also looks like you were also thrust upon some used stuff.

Title: The Hobby Shop Doesn't Care To Respond
Post by: shrikant prabhu on October 15, 2014, 10:12:03 AM
I bought M3 8mm screws from The Hobby Shop on 4th Oct 2014. (There seems to be another one by that name. The one I refer to gives phone number as 7785012018)  They acknowledged it on 7th Oct telling me that the packet is sent through DTDC. No tracking number was given. Asked by email again for the tracking number. No reply. A person by name Pankaj responded once over phone and said he will get tracking number that evening. Now it is 15th. They stopped picking up the phone. Can some one tell me what is wrong with the seller ? If this is how they treat their customers then please think before ordering from them. Any input will be helpful to me and other prospective buyers. Thanks :banghead:

You are one of many who is scamed by thehobbyshop.in,
Pankaj is one of the person running the show there along with 3
more idiots,  they do not carry any stock , once u place order,  they order
it from somewhere and I had placed m3 screw along with other goods for around rs 9500/-
And they stop responding from 2nd October ,  they sent me invoice and FAKE
Dtdc tracking number Today..

And m3 screw was is back order status today .

These bunch of college drop outs make money this way and cheat people

Their are many member can tell u similar stories.

Thank you and also LoveCats for the response.  My amount is small and I consider myself lucky in that. Since they don't talk over phone I had a long sms chat with the phone number. It was quite funny the way the other party was responding with a next to honest response and showing his hurt. I genuinely felt their business might be bad and they are finding it difficult to cope with the situation. I was given the same acknowledgment more than once about my order and finally was told that my order will reach me by 17th. Without the tracking number available with them to give me,how can they give me the date so confidently ? Really a learning experience because of the holier than thou attitude of the person concerned. You live and learn.  :hatsoff:

Same problem here,
1. 3-4 days asked regarding proper details about boat combo but no reply.
2. Price of boat propeller 120/-
3. Same prop price on eBay store 80/-
4. While ordering received error saying no payment option available in your area ???

But I already mailed it twice. Even sent you the sms. No replies. My query is same. I want the tracking! If my thing is shipped, then why it hasn't reached me yet? I think its fairly safe to assume that you've put a bogus "Shipped by DTDC" isn't it? If not, please mail the tracking to everyone who's status is "Shipped by DTDC". I'll get my problem solved.

Nonetheless, this is very wrong way of running the business. Just because we don't have any escrow in between like ebay, it doesn't mean you take the things for granted. See this section, why so many have problems with just you? Doesn't that already ring a bell that something is not right and must be corrected? Telling the truth if you're not able to provide the items in stipulated time might not win you a customer immediately, but will definitely win you the trust and a potentially loyal customer in future. However, if you lie like this, you'll win the customer, but that customer won't be coming back to you again. It's your loss in the long run. Think again man. Trust ain't worth loosing for any amount of money.

Pankaj or whoever you are .

Where were you all these day and you have guts and audacity to advise everyone of spamming , it is not spamming but it is your true reflection of your personal character and way u do business.  Just a single line mail or sms will be enough and I would have waited or max process for refund.  Everyone understands business difficulty but not responding and not answering will not help.

Order was placed on 2nd October and you collected additional fast shipping charges but u yet to ship till yesterday and now you claim that you have sent it, let's see till tomorrow the conditions of the goods.

Your attitude shows in your statment that rather then feeling sorry or apologies  to your customer you are  advising to others about spamming  , it shows that you are full of shit.

Other two customers at least deserve a sorry or apologies from you if you want to avoid costly and ugly law enforcement / sales taxes battle.

I am another one having problems with thehobbyshop, firstly there site have transaction error, i tries 2 times and my money deducted from account twice, and there site showing an error page:) after the final transaction.
There phone number is all fake, do not know why they still use in rcindia forum's signature the same which is on there website.
Then i chased them via emails and i found myself really lucky that they replied me, saying please do not fire your guns :)
Though finally they refunded my earlier transaction which till now not come back to my account :(
Now i am worried that about my package, i have selected dtdc option and paid the extra fees, but till now after 10 days my account history showing "payment received" that's it, and now i am not lucky anymore about there email replies :)
one thing learnt, there service is totally a flop show, they really need to remove "the" in front of thehobbyshop :)
If they really want to do online business with so very less niche in India, they have to be more professional compare to other very good competitors.
I will wait for some more days, if they really feel that they are doing good and will not send my package, they will soon receive a letter from me as a lawyer for there registered LLP company address officially cc MCA gov of India, and i will chase them for sure, as i do not want our small rcindia community to have bad services anymore.
So members just be alert before you order from them , i know we always excited to order some parts as they are not found on some other good website, but my suggestion would be, just wait for good websites inventory update rather paying and waiting form thehobbyshop, at least other good once receive the calls and guide you with better support :)

Admins .. I think this seller www.thehobbyshop.in (http://) has enough bad feedback to be blacklisted as Jack (ass) Hobbies.
Putting up a flashy website and cart, showing items in stock is one thing but actually shipping the items in time is something which seperate a "Part time" seller from a real LHS.
Such repeat offenders should earnestly put best as "Individual Seller" and not "Hobby Shop" if they cannot fulfil the most basic ethics of correct information and actualy delivery of item in time.

Even today, there is at least a price advantage of 20-60% of Chinese sellers over so called "LHS" , a term overly misused. If these LHS take same time delivering item these Chinese seller take, why would one order from them ?
They are not Local Hobby Sellers -
1. LHS is a neighboring Hobby seller in Brick and Mortar who shares personal "Rapport". An Online RC seller in other city is not LHS.
2. Our So called LHS is mostly selling "Made in China" or other country and there should be no "Indianess" attached with these sellers.
1. The so called LHS should provide the Price or Delivery time advantage, else any sensible Flyers has no reason to stick to them. The old BS of "supporting thy LHS" does not apply because of (1)

Hi,

I have also been cheated by thehobbyshop.in.  :banghead:I tried calling him many times and sent mails and also couple of SMS, he never picks the call nor replies to the mails. please see the below attachments what happened to me. when i brought the items the payment was successful and received the acknowledgement but in the THS site it shows the items needs the payment. I sent mails and also raised the ticket (which was there in his site) but no reply.

I request the guy whoever he is please don't cheat the people. if you are not capable to run the business, please shutdown the site you are running.

And to all the other members PLEASE don't buy anything from This website http://www.thehobbyshop.in. Surely you loose your money.

Thanks,

I think you can call your bank after 7 days post the payment is made and raise a refund request. The seller would be bound to furnish proof or refund the money back. The whole process takes about 2 months but you get your money back.

I have also been cheated by the SOB. Wish I did some research here before placing the order. Same experience as multiple people on the website.

1. Refuses to provide a tracking number
2. Refuses to communicate
3. Order placed 9th Jan
4. Got one email saying "parcel will be delivered by 21st Jan" - Again no Tracking Number!
5. Site gave an error while placing the order so my address is not even captured correctly... but without a tracking number its all useless.

For whatever it is worth, I will raise an FIR. If people are willing get together and raise a complaint together it will be more effective.

:o OH Damn !! seriously if i had looked up this thread before making the purchase, i would have straightaway blocked thehobbyshop.in on my computer ... i have made the order for 2x 20A ESC's and it costs me Rs.1370 and i have done the payment through the credit crd , i have literally spent rs80+ on messaging this Pseudo crap, and he never responded conveniently, he usually tells me to wait after i message him 3 to 4 times (regarding tracking number and order status ) , then his waiting period loops again and again ....

Also THS owner if u happen to see this post just try to recollect that you actually have an email account (for your site)... oh !! then when you remember it, just purchase a smartphone (with the very amount u stole from many people) and download the gmail APP and activate it for multiple email id's (please include.. support@thehobbyshop.in) seriously what should i say ! wasted a lot of time in dealing with this issue .. i am hoping he addresses this post and Replies to me .. ( btw my order id is #3384 )

:hatsoff: One genuine advice from me, just dump your site its time and money wastage for you and others, you are going nowhere with the way you treat your customers .
Take my advice you will gain profit, not by faking others but with whats really Worth
BTW can someone tell me a source/way/method to Contact this guy ? (owner of THS)

I think replying with a post on OCtober with sites screen shot, which more like an advertisement, and never reverting back after multiple offenses, there is NO case in their favor.

HEY the sick Part is that,... from yesterday night i am trying to visit thehobbyshop.in on my fully functional modem (it has a fixed ip) ..but i am not able to visit this site..so i just stopped checking that site for a while, but in the evening today when i tried to open it again it wasn't opening, tried many browsers, also tried emptying the browser filters and cache, nothing worked.... i knew that something was boiling off the ground  ... yesterday i found his profile on facebook, sent him (the admin of store https://www.facebook.com/pankajREC (https://www.facebook.com/pankajREC)) a friend request with a message to accept it.. and now when i open his profile again BAM!! the "add friend" option Disappeared (straightaway blocked me instead of accepting my friend request).. and after all that i just thought of using a proxy ip (used anonymousx plugin to change the ip) and then when i open the address again , everything loads up fine ... also this site loads fine on my cellphone and tablet (they use different ip address).. used many resources and tried to connect to this site everything seems working, its just that only my ip ain't connecting to his server!  :-\  purely this proves that this guy is using an ip blocker on his server and has blacklisted my ip ....

Experience of recent purchase with TheHobbyshop is not good. I purchased a Turnigy  ACCUCELL6 charger online purchse order no. 3315 dated 20Jan2015. Though the the item was supplied but I have not recived a Invoice / Bill for the same (which i need for submitting to my office) in spite of several reminder e-mails. There is no response. Please do not buy from TheHobbyShop if you require Bill / Invoice. Also There is no response to any e-mails sent for knowing the status of payment received / shipment of items, etc.

On the other other side, some people post/have posted earlier that they have received the stuffs/not receiving the bills etc. If this is true, either he got stuck with something else, or buying and selling from outside which justifies the wait. Or he could be posting from other handles to trick people. Yet he has the same mobile number i used to contact him back in 2012. And its live which means the guy is alive.

Report your experience to the below link about "THEHOBBYSHOP.IN" will help by demoting that site from google listing.

@akhilzid, This link is for reporting Phishing sites; Way different than what TheHobbyShop is doing.
Not going to help.
It seems the best option at the moment is to take "File as many complaints with the Payment Gateway" Route; whether of a new or an old issue.

Title: Think twice before buying from "thehobbyshop.in"
Post by: raphatak2011 on March 19, 2015, 03:10:09 PM
Dear members
I am new to this hobby and started building my first RC plane. I ordered online few electronic material from "www.thehobbyshop.in (http://)" THS. Soon later came to know from this forum that there are many complaints against this site :o . But I was just hopping that I will receive the material 8-) . But :banghead:
There was no response from the merchant-no SMS reply, no phone reply, no mail reply ??? .
I then complaint against the THS to EBS (support@ebs.in) regarding this :help:. Soon the THS replied that material is shipped (I guess they were just faking).
As I did not receive the material after a week that to with many unsuccessful attempts to contact the THS, I once again went on to complaint EBS regarding this issue. Finally THS refunded the money {:)}
Thanks to support team EBS :hatsoff:
Moral of the story: If you are caught in the same situation like me by doing online shopping from "www.thehobbyshop.in (http://)", just complaint to EBS.

@raphatak2011: Same story here. Even I didn't receive anything from them. So I complained to EBS by mail to support@ebs.in and they raised a ticket and send a mail to www.thehobbyshop.in (http://) asking for refund. But again no response!!
Is this the same thing happened with you? what next??

Hi,
Ordering from the thehobbyshop.in was the BIGGEST MISTAKE!!!! I still havent received the product!!! I ordered and paid for a 30A ESC. The status of the shipment is "Shipped by DTDC.www.dtdctrack.in" but there is no tracking details mentioned. I made the payment on March 6th, 2015 and almost after 15days still I dont have the product!! The phone number is useless , nobody picks up!!  If the shop owners are reading this, I want you to return the money back else I ll send in a court notice!!

If you cant handle a shop then better shut it down.

If there's anyone else with the same issue, I'd like to know if you have taken any legal action against the shop owners ?

@sukhoi1027, Call EBS customer support at 1850 654321 and please raise a claim for a refund (If you have paid through EBS)
If you have paid through Manual Bank Transfer (NEFT), then raise a complaint with your bank's customer care.

While raising a complaint with any of the above (as per your payment method), please explain them about the whole issue where TheHobbyShop have duped many customers, and you are not alone.
We need more and more complaints to get rid of this issue once and for all.

I am really sorry to say that we are not united and always selfish.
People use the word legal, court action, FIR etc. in the forum to threaten the owner.
Once they get their money back, they don't, bother about others and vanish from the forum.

One interesting fact is, THS brings many new members to forum and that too they make a post immediately after joining.

What I fail to understand is why dont people do a simple google search for reviews before buying from anyone. If you do a search for the thehobbyshop.in the third result is this very thread! And recent posts are more than enough for anyone to decide whether to go ahead or not.

One interesting fact is, THS brings many new members to forum and that too they make a post immediately after joining.
Exactly, however had it been the other way round, many of these members would have saved themselves from this trouble. Its member's own ignorance and lethargy that leads him into such situations and hence I dont pity them at all!

Anyways hope this rant doesnt fall on deaf ears.

If you are concerned about the 'Owner', let me tell you that one does not becomes an Owner by just 'Owning" others money, but taking 'Ownership' of the responsibilities after selling an item.
If this fraud, Scam Shop seller had an iota of shame or regard, out of so many thread, he would have cared to respond even ONCE.

No matter if a person's 1st post is regarding complain about this Shop. Even If someone is maliciously creating false account to make false claim, the owner has to reply back here and prove him wrong.
His complete silence has only one take away - he is fully guilty of this scam.
The very vulnerable people who fall in such trap are newbies. And forum like this encourages old timers to warn and advice noobs, should they seek one first.
And yest be it 200 or 20,000 , he that guy is shamelessly pocketing away people's money without sending the merchandise, leave legal, police etc etc, if someone like me were there, and had a physical address, would have resorted to physical means to teach him a lesson.

Its not the first time we have seen such Scam Shops, and at times some even showing his middle finger to the entire forum, and just because people don't research before buying, they fall in trap.
The only thing we can do is that, put all their dark deeds on the wall of this forum so that even most nonchalant Google search by an aware flyer should land up to these pages and he should try some other trusted and reputed shop instead.

The real issue is that no one is pursuing this with seriousness. The laws are there, someone affected needs to take this with enough seriousness and take this forward.  In today's fast paced life, no one can be blamed for not taking the possibly lengthy route of litigation.

Ultimately, it is the user's own fault not to research the sellers they are dealing with.

I just stated how people try to get their money back using those words, instead of taking real action.

I spoke to the EBS Gateway ppl regarding this issue. Asked me to raise a claim. Also spoke to the company who had registered the domain (GoDaddy). They have also started their investigation regarding this. If found guilty, they will be black-listed and their site will be taken down.
If there are any lawyers here on this forum, willing to take this case forward it will be well-appreciated. Moreover, ppl who have been duped in the past, request you to kindly keep substantial proof( EBS payment acknowledgement mail,  any communication mail from thehobbyshop.in, screenshots of the order history) regarding the fraud handy.

Lets see to what extent we can catch hold of these ppl!!

I had sent an e-mail to EBS .

My query

Hi Team,

This is with respect to one of your client www.thehobbyshop.in (http://) (http://) .
This specific online vendor has been duping people using your online payment platform, and via other payment methods.

After ordering, your client doesnt bother to send the item, neither does he bothers to pick or reply to customers queries. There have been many complaints. I believe you may have recently received complaints regarding unfulfilled order.

My question is, cant anything be done to stop this fraud from using your platform to dupe people?

Thanks
Vishakh Nair

Note: The settlement has been stopped for the merchant "thehobbyshop.in" due to customer complaints.

Dear Vishakh Nair,

We request you to provide the EBS payment id or e-mail id which was used during the time of the transaction, so that we can check and assist from our end.

Now whats left is his domain and the bank acct used for transfer. Godaddy doesnt have an e-mail support and their self help pages suggested to contact local law authorities in case of harassment or illegal activities. And I expect similar response from banks too.

So ideally next step should be a "Legal Notice", which is usually prepared and sent by an advocate. It shouldnt cost more than Rs 500 in any case, and their are lawyers who would do it for Rs 50 FYI!

Anyhow as the adage goes, 'Prevention is better than cure'.

PS: Havent bought any thing from thehobbyshop.

PPS: Sukoi posted before me so...

Even I contacted EBS and asked for refund. But they said nothing can't be done from their side as the payment has been successfully accepted by the merchant! Also asked them to take steps and block this site otherwise more customers wil get cheated! Here's a reply from EBS:

Account ID: 12271,
Domain name: thehobbyshop.in,

Dear Amitava Das,

Thank you for mailing EBS,

We have already taken steps against the merchant that needed to be taken from our side and regarding your complaint kindly do as advised earlier.

The mentioned payment ID 33979678 is a successful transaction and the amount has already been accepted by the merchant. Regarding the status of order/service or about initiating the refund kindly contact the merchnat Hobbyshop Electronic Trading LLP - thehobbyshop.in.

If you claim that the merchant is not responding to your calls as well as your mails kindly go ahead and contact your bank' s customer care to raise a complaint against the merchant.

NOTE: EBS is a technology provide to the merchant

Kindly revert for further assistance.
