Taking a cue from (QK) Mr Satyagupta's suggestion in another thread today, i am starting this thread.

The purpose is to have a platform for enquiry (first), grievances (later), where a problem between a customer and an LHS can be addressed without acrimony, if phone, email etc have failed.

Perhaps customers could wait at least 2-3 days after their order before posting here. Normally a customer should receive an acknowledgement / shipping details latest by next day, as has been my experience with the 5-6 LHSs i've dealt with so far. Not even a single miss!

LHSs should respond to posts here within say 24 hours (if they value their reputation ;D)

Customers and LHSs could post factual queries and factual replies first, and restrain their emotional responses till later.

If Admin endorses this thread, it may serve its purpose.

Though i have no connection with you or any LHS, even i am getting requests for help from members who perhaps think i may have some influence with you!
I know you've been away and that Mumbai is flooded.
But why don't you broadcast msgs to your customers whose orders are pending?

Perhaps a response from you will get this thread up and running ;D

If I may say so, that's what I meant in my post (reply 6) in another thread. As a business man, when you see / know that a customer is getting agitated, first and best thing would be to attend to his query / complaint. Once the plausible reason is given and accepted, and order executed, a gentle reminder that you were also inconvenienced by his actions, it adds to your reputation and a good prod in the right direction for the customer.
Hope I am not wrong  'cos that's what I expect from a business man as a customer and vice versa. I am not familiar with the corporate etiquette or other things - plain old generation, you see !!

There is a Hobby shop at Ahmedabad by name of Lotus corporation . I had been dealing with them for past 4 years .The Owner Mr Probir Ganguly was quite prompt in his dealings.Mr Probir expired on 15 Nov . I did not know of Mr Probirs's death .I had an order in progress and deposited Rs 5600 for some materials on 17 dec . I rang up Mr Probir's Mobile his son attended the call and informed about the death . I rang after a week and Probir's son picked up the mobile and told me he would get the ordered material sent , but it will take some time . For past 3 weeks no one picks up the mobile of Mr Probir and no one responds to my mails also . Any one can help? DO not order any thing from this shop till things are clear.

When the owner of a proprietorship passes away, there are bound to be loose ends.
While I sympathize with you,
Please have a thought for the family and have some patience.
I have no connection with Lotus except that I bought a lot of stuff in Dec 2006, and that Probir was a friend of my childhood friend.
If you send my your order details, I will pass them on to them with a request to do their best for you.
Hope you realise that:
1. Refund from a deceased account is nearly impossible
2. Dispatching goods from stocks hypothecated to a bank may take some time, or even a lot of time.

Orders cannot be placed as their site is down.

@KK Iyer sir Right on point! I only manage the online portion of RCM ( web issues, deals, offers, events, etc ) and almost every single day, I get a new message, I placed order this and hasn't shipped that. I don't manage the warehouse. Its some times quite annoying...

And for replying ASAP, we're working on either getting an after sales manager or an IVR call system.

I agree that when someone passes away suddenly there are lots of loose ends as far as his bussiness is concerned . In this case I managed to speak to son of Mr Probir and he assured me that he will send the stuff ordered after some time. Lotus corporation BAnk account is not in Name of Mr Probir ganguly .Copy of my email attached in case you can please do contact some one to contact me and either send my stuff or Refund the amount involved .I deposited the money in the account on 17 Nov 16.No one attaends the mobile of Mr Probir I tried on several occassions .

I know it really is none of my business as I'm not a moderator.
However, i noticed that you quoted shiva's long post twice.
Perhaps you could consider using 'reply' instead of 'quote'.

Further, when this thread is about 'what happened to my order', why post here when you want to talk about 'where to fly in Hyderabad', for which you already have a separate thread?
