RC India

I'm a regular poster on the awesome RC India forums and it was suggested I share a bit about my background.

I have been flying RC for over 20 years. I started with a small 3 channel Cub with an OS15 and that got me hooked. Flew IC glow fuel models for several years all the way up to 150 4 stroke size but diverted to electric when brushed motors started to become available with GWS gearboxes. Made many models out of depron from plans and flew them down the park. Also made several models out of correx (fluted plastic) and aluminium U tubing with a IC engine on the front. When funds are low it's a great way to fly RC on a tight budget.

I've brought and flown a huge number of electric models all the way up to 40% scale. For example this Extra 300.

I now have a couple of turbine jets and my 250mph Ultra Flash is my favourite.

I have been running the 'Essential RC' YouTube channel and Facebook group/page for several years. That started because I flew my larger models at RC shows. It's now growing rapidly and I focus more on the filming that the flying. I have 70,000+ followers across social media and post videos of model aircraft flying at shows that I attend around the UK. I will soon be travelling to Europe to film at RC shows as well.

I recently invested in a Panasonic 4K pro camcorder which captures action in 4 x 1080P HD resolution. Even if you are watching on a phone, tablet or desktop PC the video will be a lot clearer. You do not need a 4K TV or monitor to see the benefits of a video filmed in 4K. This is my promo video for the 2017 season...
