Hello!

Finally signed up, been lurking for quite some time. I'm Ashwin from Chennai(currently in Bangalore), been scratch building for quite a few years now, and flying ( more take offs than landings!  Roll Eyes ) on and off for quite a few years now. Nice to meet you all! Smiley

Well, my main interests are elec.. I started off with the good 'ole brushed stuff and NiMh's. Started out with GWS Sp400 DD's then moved onto GWS geared 350's and IPS systems.
I managed to score some J250's and had some real fun with those!I think building stuff was much more challenging then!! I unfortunately lost most of my pics in a catastrophic BSOD. Shall see if I can scrounge up any!

Then came the CD-ROM motors and the fun with winding them! Soon after Li-po's and well after hobby king, life has been gooood! Smiley

Edit: Spellings! thanks santhosh-r!

Ah! oops! Corrected it! Smiley

I dunno why, but I recall registering on the boards a while back(some time in '09), but I can't recall the ID/email ID I used at the time. Shall go through all old threads and see if I can spot me self!

okay, So I can't find it Sad

I am looking for a bit of advice from all the old timers.

I am moving out of the country for a few years for my masters (in aerospace incidentally) what is the best way to keep my RC stuff? My Equipment right now consists of a 7CAP (72Mhz) and pico Rx. This I keep swapping between airframes. Then the usual collection of Motors/ESC's/Batteries and Servos.

Should I even look at keeping it considering that I will be surrounded by easily available RC stuff?

Aah! I was thinking of modding my 7CAP to 2.4ghz with a DIY module, considering the cost of new hobbyking radios, I don't see anyone willing to buy an old 72Mhz 7CAP..

I have couple of unused motors/esc's/lipo's shall put them up for sale..
