Title: Post your Hangar
Post by: anwar on March 23, 2009, 05:00:30 AM
It is very helpful for others (especially beginners) to see what equipment is commonly used by experienced RCers.  To make this information easily accessible to others, please post the contents of your hangar, including details of the main components used.

You can either post it in your signature OR as a part/reply to your introduction entry in the "RC People" board.

You can update your signature by clicking on "Profile" from the top, and then choosing "Forum Profile Information" from the menu on the left. The details of your hangar can then be posted in the "Signature" text box.

looking at the wing design looks like P51.. ? or spitfire

Title: Re: with my models
Post by: VC on December 08, 2010, 01:22:10 AM
That's probably not a Mustang (definitely not a Spitfire - only the photo recce versions had clipped wings, all others had the familiar elliptical wings). It could be an aerobatic aircraft.

My Hangar:

1. Trex 500 3g
2. Belt CP V2-good old days when it was right out of the box. Trust me you wouldn't wanna see it now  :giggle:
3. Walkera CB180q
4. Futaba 7C radio. Ignoring my walkera and esky radios
5. 2Syma AH 64 3ch coax helis, which my nephews are working on right now. Hence no pictures  ;D

For those who are very particular...

Had a very bad crash nose into the ground with my belt cp v2. Lost the head unit, blades, one push rod link flew some place else on impact, stripped main gear, bent flybar, broken canopy(on super glue now).
Had all spare parts except for the push rods.

Awaiting arrival from HK..

As I started picking up on the learning curve, replaced stock esky gyro with telebee(keeping a spare quark as a proud possession  {:)}), stock 25A esc with 40A exceed esc, blades with align 325D CF, battery to 2200, 25C blue lipo (bit heavy) and keeping stock on metal head and tail assembly(el cheapo chinese ones) upgrades for future.

In reply to post # 26 by VC.
Not all PR version of spitfire were clipped wing neither all clipped wing version of spitfire were PR version.
The clipped wing started from Mark V onwards and continued till end of production, based on intended role of the production aircraft. The wings were clipped to improve roll rate and low level performance of the air craft.

@# 24
In reply to question, what is the small yellow one, to me it looks like a practice plane model of either an Extra or CAP

Hi,

This is my RC hangar/workshop...It used to be a kitchen.

Now, it has been converted in my heli workshop and pyrotechnic workshop.

Yak 54 EPP is the only plane in my hangar.

Comments and suggestions are welcome. I find it very very difficult to clean once it gets messed up. Infact, these pics are after i have tried to clean it up.

Crackers in RC workshop!!!  :o

Naah I dont keep crackers in there...I just keep the electric firing equipment and the talon igniters there. N before a show, whatever plan is to be made is made in there. Like fuising the talons in parallel or series etc..

Post by: murcielago on January 23, 2013, 11:33:11 AM
Nice. What's with all the fireworks?

I love fireworks ( I have done few amateur and commercial shows for parties using e-firing methods. Infact, whenever i go to field i always fire few rockets and aerial shells...You see the smell of nitro and gunpowder is intoxicating.

I also collect firework labels, poster etc. The firework history and the art of making fireworks (Chemistry) amazes me. I dont make fireworks but i know the basics quite well.

My very first rc project-
Quadcopter using alien 550 frame. Maybe a wrong choice to start with the hobby so had to buy mini beetle from rcbazzar and learn to fly, even after building the bigger one  ;D .

Now I can fly it on my terrace but should really find a safe place to fly.
