Pong Dam !!

Damn, this place brings a lot of memory flooding back

1. Lost a good friend there, long ago, he still sleeps there with his bird, not been able to get to him. every year we have a pooja for him on the banks of the dam.

2. Spent 48 hrs in a dinghy there, in the middle of the winter, some damn water survival training. Will never forget those 48 hrs

3. Countless angling and flying trips

Now ! that is a big challenge since you, obliquely have been called a dude !! (no shame in that, after we all are from the same stock , Humans)

Gusty sir, that was an honest mistake! You can't tell by the handle name if a person is a lady.

In my 9th grade my computer teacher told us never to use our real names or faces on the internet and I'm always going to stick with that. Also, some people (like me) just aren't comfortable with putting their faces (or backs) on the internet.

I do hope to personally meet the amazing people here some day! Smiley

I used to hunt a lot, have toned down now

Earlier years (till 80's) there were lots of places you could.

Now it is selective: eg in Himachal you can get a permit to hunt Wild Boar and Nilgai, which have abounded and are in the 'pest' category

Damn right, this is upsetting. It is people like you who turn into poachers. Take a deep look inside yourself.

Killing for the sake of eating the flesh may still be justified. Hunting for the sake of killing/blood sport is a heinous crime that scars the soul. Even where allowed legally.

Requesting you not to take this further. If you do, I will flood this thread with pictures that will rob you of your sleep.
