RC India

Hi friends have been thinking for quite some time and finally m here it is .  I am creating this thread cum directory of various people associated with this hobby from various parts of the country and outside the country too. This will help a lot of beginners to search for local help.

This list will contain the names of persons (volunteers) along with their RCI usernamescity or state wise and also their field of interest and NOT phone numbers. If anyone wants to contact someone then he/she can use the search member facility of the forum.


I request all the senior members and also other members to come forward and fill up their names and other details who are ready to volunteer from their respective cities.
I will update the list once daily.

Yeah as noone had done it so it is a initiative from my side,, I believe 9000 + members are there but very few of them are active and willing to help....

There are couple of problems with this, and we need to do this right.

1.  It is best that such a list is maintained under a Google account hosted by RC India (if we are using Google Docs).  The bigger question is, why use Google Docs, since any one can sign up anyone else ! If we have people volunteer in a thread here, that gives us confirmation.

2.  Normal users can only edit posts for 24 hours, so maintaining a list is not practical. This is best done by admins.

3.  The name of the list itself is misleading.  It should be something like "RC India Volunteer List" or something to that effect. A useful list would be a list of volunteers, and that fact should be reflected clearly in the name.

Overall, I suggest that we stop this activity now, and I will create a new sticky thread for this.
