I don't think so but yes it is true that

"this is the only place in India that houses worst quality RC products with the worst service possible ever"

The magazine people should have had made that correction.

It might be a good idea for Anwar or some other senior member of RCI to drop a letter to the editor regarding the article and its questionable statements. Thats what "Letters to the editor" are for. Maybe it will encourage Jack to mend his ways(!!?)

My intention was not to criticize Jacks, it was just something I saw on Facebook.  Any one can write to the magazine to correct factual errors.

Yet another attempt to make this hobby look exclusive. Its VC who should be in the magazines IMO :discuss:

Such and Irony and injustice by the 'Bought out Media' which can go even to label a Killer Wale as 'Dolphin' .. Nothing surprising...'Billo Rani Chat Par' kind of Newspaper.
Reminds me the Bollywood flick Page3 , on how to get featured in such Soapera News Paper.

Wow, here is a forum which is helping beginners in making the right decisions as far as RC is concerned and there out in the open we have such misleading articles! Looks like we have to gear up for some more "Bad experience" posts and the irony is many people discover this forum after they have had bad experiences and are in need of help!

Anyways our job is to continue to help, educate and spread!

It was obvious that who ever wrote that article know nothing about the hobby. Yet he had written an article on a subject he didn't know and it was published in a national Magazine.
I could not stop laughing.

I have personally experienced, multiple times, where journalistic "freedom/excitement" distort facts that have been laid out in black and white.  It is quite possible that Vinod/Jack mentioned that his store is "unique to Hyderabad", and the journalist may have omitted it.

A "letter to the editor" seems to be called for, anyways !

It is more than likely that some journalist has just got caught up in what seems a "newsworthy" item and has quoted the person he/she has communicated with.

I hold no brief for Jack's Hobbies and my - negative - opinion has been documented. But to even consider that a small timer can buy out this level of media seems unreasonable and not realistic, at all.

Considering the the forum is an Apolitical place, never the less I would like to draw attention to one good seminar held at JNU's center of Jouranlism where the chief guest showed disgust that today Media has just not become Pro-establishment but Establishment itself. One of my friend who was digging into Wiki Leaks docs chanced upon a doc where many names on current Media barons were names as multi-billioniore. I had huge respect for 'The Hindu" all my student like, but lost it all after recent expose of thier covert act. Honest Journalism is long dead in this "Vigyapan Yug"

Never the less Pankaj sir, if you want to be on P3, you just need to help the journalist in Kinds... you know 'Favours' and you may feature. I am sure other Pages are not exception. You just need the ever increasing right 'Contact'.

I have heard enough stories about other LHSs, so Mr Jack is no different. Just another brick in the Wall. I am lucky to know a few LHS who justify the sentiments behind the "L" for giving honest advice to hobbiests... I care not for others...

  

Thats why they are Journalist(Generalist).....writes about everything & knows nothing & pity is that these published documents are treated authentic by millions of readers who themselves are neither generalist nor expert of anything.

Thats why I believe that a jounalist wont go on its own to put a wrong claim that "Jackhobbies is the Only.." unless falsely told by the interviewee , which he did not even care to verify... bad journalism whosoever folly it is...

My point that seems to have got lost somewhere, is only that THIS case does not seem to be one of "buying out" but more of an over enthusiastic journalist. And, to repeat, I am NOTstanding up for Jacks Hobbies as my view on them has already been documented in the negative.
