Well as per your description of workshop I don't see any UAV element in it, It looks to be a plain aeromodelling workshop. What's the duration of workshop? Once you mention the duration then the fees can be judjed upon man hours spent. I don't see any problem in using coro as training material.

Yes this is about what is charged  for beginners RC workshops It was the same last year  at the MIT Flyspad workshop  which had around 180 teams applying  and from which the organizers  shortlisted 37 teams :

http://www.rcindia.org/rc-events/spad-workshop-by-mit-anna-university/

http://www.rcindia.org/rc-events/mr-moss-67-nos-over-the-week-end/

The Take away kit itself is around Rs 7500 to 8000  hence what a team of 4 pays for the teaching of the workshop over 2 days is around Rs 1000 +/-  per head for 2 days .

Does each student get the kit mentioned above or does each team get one kit which has to be shared between the 4 students? Please clarify.

Each team gets a kit   VC  4 kits including a 4 nos 4  channel radio for Rs 12 K  especially considering the problem getting Raadio's in now a days would be Charity at its   very very best  Giggle Giggle

I donot think even IR radios would be  possible with kits at that price  Head Scratching

VC ,

Model art  IR Helis  strictly for Indoor use ( toy grade ) are retailing today for Rs 2250/-  each x 4 = Rs 10 K  .

I think now you would be able to get a clearer picture .

BTW  the plane here is MR MOSS  which we retail for Rs 7500  currently but is likely to be Rs 8000  soon due to the higher  import Costs now
http://rcforall.co.in/product_info.php/cPath/1_20/products_id/227

The Guys Conducting the workshop  are charging each student  additional Rs 1K per student for the 2 day workshop where they will be imparting training .

Just for your info, we are conducting basic aeromodelling workshops in colleges in Guwahati, Assam. We charge Rs.1000/- per student for a day long workshop (10am to 4pm). We cover 11 out of the 14 points ( the other 3 concern Powered Flight Dynamics) mentioned above in an Audio Visual Format and our kit (for every individual) includes 2 Balsa gliders + EVERYTHING required to build and fly them. Including, Modelling knives / tools , Sandpaper, catapult and adhesives.

From your list of RC components listed above, we could conduct the same workshop (2 days X 5 hours each day) for you @ Rs.24,000/- per team of 4 members. Only that, in our case, we would provide a kit for every participant containing all that is detailed above.

Of course, you would have to bear our air fare (2 member team) to and fro and our accommodation in a decent hotel / guest house, subject to a minimum of 10 teams participating. I will PM you the details if you are interested.

Regards,

VC

Mr. Sai, I don't know what brought up the Modelart IR heli? I am a little confused as I don't remember mentioning that at any point of time here. FYI, I have an IR Heli with Gyro (much better finish and quality than Modelart - certified by 2 flyers who both have bought and possess Modelart Helis) - I bought my Heli landed Guwahati for Rs.1050/-. Obviously, there are cheaper avenues available for getting quality stuff into India.

No offence meant to anyone at all. Just stating facts.

Regards,

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.

In Mehta Building IR Co Axial Helis are available for Rs600/- (V-Class) and Rs. 800/- (Swift) and of course there are higher model. (Both are 8 inch for indoor use for beginner.)
Both are same in Motor, Control (3 Ch IR), LiPoly Cell but difference is the Swift comes with spare Blade & tail prop while V-Class has not. Of course, as the DurgaPuja is comming, prices may be increased. Prof helis starts from 2200/-.
=======================================
Please the rates are dealer price. Street price must be higher and you have to accept as they have transport, Storage, Canvasing & Manpower overhead. If you need cheaper in bulk quantity, then just come to Mehta building of Kolkata. I am sure, you may get more attractive rate at Sadar Bazar of new Delhi too.
=======================================
Thanks

We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

Tejas
Which college do you study in? and when is your workshop?
Because we are organizing the same workshop in my college and as a matter of fact it seems to have the exact specs as yours.
