You can use servos or brushless gimbal motors with respect to your need..

This particular one uses coreless high torque motors.
As arun bhaiya said you could use brushless gimbal or high resolution servos.
But this is not suited for AV/AP.

Gear motors Only usedd in this equipment
Dont use servos and brushless motors..
ha ha ah ah ah..
I have seen some post use servos and brushless motor ... :banghead: :banghead:

They need High torque ..Gear motors  ;)

Iam into broadcast equipments maintenance and Setup..
This is Low cost Pan tilt head Since 2 pcs In my worshop..
So If any information this u can contact me
Thanks

Geared motors are not a wise choice for an ariel gimbal, IMO.

All the RC grade/ stabilized gimbals that I've seen, use either servos or brushless gimbal motors, only because they have high resolution and better control over quick movements in contrast with geared motors which lag in precise and quick movements demanded by FPV/ariel photography and stabilization.

Also, Servos are basically just geared motors, the only thing that makes them different from any other geared motor is that they relay back their positions which enables accurate position control; geared motors (like the one in the above image) usually do not relay back their position like servos (and sensored brushless motors), so I don't think they can be used with the commercially available RC gimball drivers.

There are high-torque servos and gimbal motors, ones that outperform geared motors, they're just expensive.

In the end of the jib arm, Pan Tilt head is mounted in which camera is mounted. Pan tilt head moves the camera with the help of remote. With pan tilt you can capture every type of angle 360 degree. Flycamdslr (http://www.flycamdslr.com/hdvs/?target=main) have wide variety of pan tilt heads.
