Im trying to make a 2.4ghx yagi antenna of 16 elements. Number of elements are scalable.
I have copper wire of 18 gauge obtained from local electrical shop. Im going to use wooden boom.
Im using calculator downloaded from http://www.vk5dj.com/yagi.html , however confused with what exactly to enter in each fields.I have added an image on what data I'm currently using. Feel free to correct me there.

Now my questions are:
1)Can I use enameled copper wire for this purpose?
2)Can I fix them directly on to the boom with glue/feviquick/hot glue etc?
3)Which co-axial cable to use for balun? Also please point me to any online shop where its available?

I haven't worked with Yagi antennas before, but I think aluminium hollow rods are better suited for these antennae. You could use rj45 coax cables.

Do you mean the ethernet cable? Im not sure how to use it. The software too doesn't have an option for rj45.
On more reading found that balun is not really necessary, so I will try to make one without balun first.

Anyways in case if I go for balun, have decided to go ahead and use Rg 59, which is basically the cable we use for cable tv or dth.It has poor heat resistance since it contains foam so not easy to solder. The cable has high frequency losses, but only 50-100mm is required to make the balun, so it shouldn't matter.

And yes ideally aluminum rods or welding rods are best suited, I opted for copper wire because of ease of availability and use. Just have to be more careful while handling antenna.

Now all I'm missing is a rpsma connector, will start build when I get hold of one.
