Title: Ornithopter or robot? Post by: iamahuman on October 08, 2010, 09:35:41 AM Guys,I have been reading the plans of the freebird ornithopter and I just thought that I could make a robot(got the idea from Prateek's thread. Thanks prateek :)) instead for a science fair at school. The ornithopter looks complex. The robots seem quite easy. And,I've got majority of the stuff to make the robot apart form the switches. For the ornithopter,I've got nothing.
I am not sure on what I should make. Please advise. Title: Re: Ornithopter or robot? Post by: iamahuman on October 08, 2010, 02:27:56 PM I have decided that I will make the ornithopter for the competition but I will make the robot for the fun of it.
Title: Re: Ornithopter or robot? Post by: KALYANPRODHAN on October 21, 2010, 11:01:16 PM I also thought for a few days to make tiny ornithopter.
For your information, I use readily available materials. Balsa replacement for tiny model, I will use Ice Cream wooden piece for wing cross hinge and rotor axle frame (Fuselage). Carrybag for wing. PushRod - Ball point pen Refill part or wood with wire (Gems Clip part / 1000 watt unburnt heater coil /tin from Mosquito coil support). My thought only for next project. Thanks. |
