Title: PULSE JET ENGINE DESIGNED AND TESTED SUCESSFULLY DONE AS AN FINAL PROJECT
Post by: bhanuflying on April 20, 2012, 02:11:44 PM

Great to see people experimenting... little nice  looking engine.

May be he got some measurements off. Pulse jet engines design are critical and more are like 'Tuned Pipes'. Any variation from measurements would result in a wobbly firing.

You can notice that his engine kept on stalling and did not give smooth performance. Being the Final year project, sadly he would not get time to fix the issue.

@ujjwaana ...got only little resources need a perfect blower to attain proper combustion sir but the valve designed working perfectly and for few secs sustain combustion is achieving working on different injection sysytems nw

Wow! that is a sharp looking pulje jet. Very neat workmanship!

Did your friend follow a plan or is it his own design?  Pulsejets look very simple but they are quite complex in the way they operate. I have build couple of these in the past and one of them worked fine. Generated thrust about 3 Kgs but it drank petrol like anything. I think it was about 250ml every 4 minutes..

Have fun with it... mount it on a model airplane and have it roaring across the sky..

Wow!! The Engine closeup reveals on of the best machining/fabrication of PulseJet I have heave ever seen on the Net. You can fetch handsome amount once you perfect it, as it  cosmetically looks almost production quality. You just need to get it Laser Engraved :D

If you have a build log of it in different build stage, it would serve as inspiration and help for many.

Looks like an engineering college to me and at I am shocked to see the lack of common sense in all those engineers standing around.
The engine mounting frame is restrained with just a guys foot, a momentary lapse while the engine is running, the frame moves or shoots straight, causing at the least burn injuries, or at the worst spilling the petrol bottle from the stool and setting things on fire.
