Hey guys,
We can actually use our own radio to play with Real Flight G3 without the Given Controller!

Here is how!

Now download 'Smart Propoplus' from here: www.smartpropoplus.com (just browse the site for download and all other instructions on how to make a mic-input cable for your Tx)

Then Download PPJOY from here: http://ppjoy.blogspot.com/2009/11/finally-new-version.html
(Check the Rapidshare link in the post)

Install and Configure PPJOY and Smartproplus by following instructions here:

Then connect your Tx through Mic input and Launch the Real Flight G3 and Play!

As the Real Flight is a pricey application, it will be fine if we can find a used copy from some of our friends  ;)

Even if you did not have the hardware controller, the RealFlight software still asks for serial numbers during installation. So the above procedure would work after you have managed to install it somehow, right ?

Yup, it asks. But the used serial numbers work just fine, as long as we donot register the application with the real flight!

Already tried it. Problem is, it does not work with Windows 7, not even in compatibility mode. :-(

No, Sunil, I got it on Win 7 only! Let me know the error you are getting on Win7. Am sure we can fix it. No need of compatibility mode.

And what is your version of Win7? Mine is Win7 Ultimate!

I was helping someone with Reflex installation, and noticed that in Vista, you have to right click the icon and choose the "Run as Administrator" for the software to run correctly. Otherwise it would complain files missing/inaccessible.  This is despite the fact that the logged in user is already in the administrator group.

Yup, and along with that, somtimes it may ask for dll files too on Vista and Win7.

Will try it again and get back with the error message. I am using ultimate too. and it was real flight 4.5

For the record, I am pretty sure it is illegal to use Real Flight without their own controller  :-X

Oooh, sunil, then clueless! Its hard to fix the RF 4.5! I was tokin' about RF 3.0. As Anwar said, it needs the supplied hardware!

In fact I just installed the demo version of  Real flight G5 & was wondering if I buy a sanwa 8 channel radio will it work with it, reading anwar's post now confuses me, is this software paired to be used only if you buy their hardware?

The demo version has only few aircraft & heli which is enough for me to try out & it does not expire after 1 month.

I use the RealFlight G4.5 with my game controller and i downloaded the full version for free and it works great on Windows7.

This thing will not work with the demo mode of Real Flight G4 or G5.
These demo modes have only keyboard as a controller option. so you can use demo mode only with keyboard.

I have downloaded the real fight G5 from a torrent site, I don't support piracy too, but the situation and location in which I am made me do it..hehehe

Download the torrent, it has no serials nor does it have product codes yet, just an ISO image file!

By which cable we could connect the tx with pc audio jack? Dorwin is it working? Wats the minimum req config for G5?

I am trying to say that you can not use your controller with 'DEMO' version which is available free from Real Flight's Website.
You can use your controller with above described method with 'Full' version.

Is it working without realflight's controller....?

Hey actually I started this thread with the entire process for how to download the RF from to***ts. It was deleted on my request by Anwar. We cant 'officially' encourage piracy ;)

I am, like most of you people, downloading this and its 89%, but as per the documentation on the torrent site, it was said that it does not require a serial as it is a ISO ripped image.
I don't know if it works with just a keyboard or not as of yet, but surely will let you guys know if I am successful, I am using Windows7 Ultimate and I hope it plays on it because the file is named as realflight G5 2009!

and lastly, about the piracy thing, I tell what I do, "I use torrent sites sometimes" don't tell me nobody uses it! because I think that India is the highest torrent user in Asia!
Not that I am pointing anyone, but what is true is true, I don't encourage piracy, and members, I have also mentioned it to the moderator to delete the post it if its not appropriate or if I was exploiting the site rules!

NB: this is a official real flight site, no piracy here!

 :giggle: all version upto RF G4.5 work fine with any cheap Sim USB Tx or your own Tx using sim cable.

Not the official versions, I believe. Those are the ones that have been modified by people to suppress some of the anti-piracy checks.
