Hey all Salute Salute Salute,
After long time, finally I have built up my own Piper cub (40" wingspan EPS model cut from thermocol used in packing of AC) Roll Eyes Roll Eyes. I have read a lot of posts, discussions & messages from this forum Smiley. This helps me a lot for building my Piper cub. Now I have to give final touch by adding electronics. Here are some pics Wink Wink:

"The picture quality is very poor so please forgive me because i take it from my 1.3 MP phone camera"

Will also try to add its maiden flight

Sorry I don't have any knowledge about biofoam. It is high density thermocol commonly used for packing of Air conditioner, Refridgerator etc.

Thanx for complements Bow Bow Bow,

Yupp Thumbs Up I used Hot wire cutter which I designed by PVC pipe.

Then a lot of sanding works gave it a sharp figure.

Wow Salute

Wish you had some photos of the material from which you started off (I mean before cutting the foam into shape).

Sorry Anwar bro

Unfortunately I don't have pre built pics (esp. raw material) of my cub due to lack of good camera. But next time I promise that I will also upload some pics and videos of build log.

Yup I followed a plan of "blu cub" (basically a bluefoam plan). But due to unavailability of Bluefoam in India, I decided to convert this plan into Thermocol design. I changed only fuselage a little bit (generally 2D to 3D) with my little knowledge which was recently earned by rcindia.org and rcuniverse.com.

Here goes the specs:-
Fuselage + wings + rudder + elevator = all built up by high density thermocol (small grains)
1. Wingspan:- 40"
2. Fuselage length:- 28"
3. Motor:- Brushless Outrunner TowerPro2409-18 1000kv / 180W
4. ESC:- DYS 30Amp
5. Prop:- 9x5
6. Battery:- Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack
7. Servos:- (03) HXT900 9gm 1.6 Kg/cm

Finally thanks for the overwhelming response.

But guys please don't get excited until the success of its maiden flight.
