Title: tricopter model compare
Post by: karan3_k on January 03, 2012, 08:55:08 PM
I am planning to make a tricopter...

I am confused which type of model i should go for?
one is i can use 4 gyro (3 on each branch, and one for yaw, doing mixing in tx)
and second option is using HK quad board v2 (on board 3 gyro, roll pitch and yaw, doing mixing on board)
the second one would be effecient will cost me half the first one...
but programming it will be the issue... i have never done it before...

can any body explain pros. and cons. of both models.....

hi karan i am from bharuch. i am working on quadcopter(check my thread).
You don't need 4 gyro. As a beginner go with hk board,it comes with quad mode and plus config. If you want to use it for tri you have to program it with tri program using usbasp cable.
