we can have the most cheapest fpv goggles if we modify the google cardboard
but it would be more fun if there would be an android or iOS app for FPV with google cardboard
this would be fun as we may watch in 3D

any way if you want to know how you can modify google cardboard to use as fpv goggles,WATCH THIS:-

i have heard about this
i dont know if it works.. just picked it up from some site

STEP 1: Download this application called wififpv on the android phone LINK:  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.macaca.wififpv&hl=en

STEP 2: Use any a123 battery to supply the voltage for the modem!

STEP 4: Connect the android phone running WiFiFPV to a WiFi router, and mount it onto a RC model.

STEP 5: Use your laptop to the following ip address shown on the android device OR use another android device to view as a monitor LINK: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.macaca.fpviewer&hl=en

Beyond Visual Range, sounds cool. My professional work involves quite some Occulus and google cardboard. but it can give one super serious headaches and disorientation to the tune of falling back over/blacking out esp when plane is rolling etc. And one would also need two cameras on the plane for real 3d render, effectively halving the bandwidth.

I don't know of an out of the box app but If you can extract and render a frame of video, sync L-R and display using the cardboard api, you're done. Also checkout

Novelity nonetheless. fun to try. The health warning still applies
