Title: Hitech HS5485HB servos
Post by: gauravag on July 30, 2009, 07:09:53 PM
Hi everyone,
Hitec launched a new digital servo : HS5485HB a few months back.
It offers 6.4kg torque, and is a digital servo with Karbonite gears, priced very reasonably at Approx Rs 1,150/-
Anyone who has used them , and can share their experiences ? Are there any centering issues ? ( a few people have reported some problems here) , or any drawbacks with this ?
I am considering them for use on my 60 size Extra and Chipmunk.
Thanks...
Gaurav

Hi Gaurav,

I have got very good reviews on the servo! In fact, I just bought one of those to be used as the throttle servo for my gasser!

Hmm, I want to use these servos on my new 60 size extra, and use these on all channels, and thus utilize the high speed mode on my 10C .
These servos seem to offer a great value for money . That was one reason i was skeptical about their performance. Just Rs 1100 for a digital servo from Hitec, with a good speed and torque seems to be a great deal ! .

Yeah.. these servos are cheap and good as well.. but just run a check on the actual torque they can handle before taking the plunge.. or invest a bit more and get better servos!! They can always be reused!

Whats the "bit more" and the better servo you would get for your 60-90 size plane ?
