Title: how do servos work ????
Post by: Pikle6 on August 11, 2009, 07:12:15 PM
hey guys in this post of mine i will try to compile in as much info i get and some of my own video's and pics on the components of a servo and their workings and a 360 degreee servo rotation mod too

first up the youtube videos

as edwin uncle said read the english subtitles

must watch please

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XSXfqd1N58&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rcindia.org%2Fradios-and-receivers%2Fservo-selction-guideline%2Fmsg4633%2F%3Ftopicseen&feature=player_embedded

and pic i want all of you to see

for some extreme detail look over here

http://www.servocity.com/html/how_do_servos_work_.html (http://www.servocity.com/html/how_do_servos_work_.html)

now on to a basic explanation

the pulse is carried by the wire which then asks the motor to move this in turn moves the gears that lead to the movement arm and the potentiometer helps in limiting the maximum movement of the arm in a direction

i have taken a couple of pic of the open servo too and a video of the open servo working hoping to upload by tomorrow
