Title: Led strip power source
Post by: linked on October 07, 2014, 05:43:24 PM
Hello,

i am planning to add some 12V led strips on my quad. As i am using 4in1 ESC there is no PDB. is there any option to get 12v power other than the lipo balance port?

Thank you.

You can use "In-line Power Adapter":

Why not with the balance port? is it occupied already with some other equipment?
its the best way to power up. normally your quad will run on a 3S setup, buy a 4pin bus wire ans use it to take power from the balance port. just 5rupees and 5mins of  soldering work. that is all.

Well, if you do have the balance Port free then it's best to use it to Power up the LED's
I thought you were using a LiPo Alarm on it while flying.

Ive used this method and havent had any issues sofar. hot glue all the connections and solder with care. any mistake will directly kill your lipo or LED strip.
