Guys,i have the following stuffs ready to be rigged for fpv. I have doubts regarding how to setup ground wire from the video output of the 5 volt camera to the tx. Image attached
These are my questions,

-Should the ground wire coming along with the video signal wire be closed by connecting it to the vtx's ground which is rated at 12 volts like as shown in the diagram?

-Is there an indication of ground loop in the circuit?

Please help me with a revised circuit setup if needed.
Thanks

If you have a multimeter then check the voltage between the receiver +ve and -ve of battery. If it reads 5 volts then you may not require the -ve of video tx to be looped to camera -ve.

I think as the battery is only one this looping is not required for camera.

Cheers

Sure..i am using a 12v rated vtx running at 1.2 ghz
The camera is 808 #16 v2 camera with video out rated at 5v,which i'll be powering from the rx.Two set of cables come out from the camera, one for power and other video, both the set have ground wire along with as shown in the picture

You mean this camera?: http://grab.by/p12o

If yes then,
You wiring is correct.

But for the vRx you are supplying input from BEC i suppose that is 5V so is your vRx rated at 5V??

That is not the vrx, thats the control rx..hehe
are you sure that we need the ground wire from the video signal wire to be looped..because the circuit is closed as the ground already flows out from the camera through the rx and then to the battery Head Scratching

Opps sorry, no need to loop the wire back to vTx

EDIT:

Why do you need to loop the ground from camera to vTx back? i dont see any reason for that. Just remove that loop and i think connection is good
