Title: No IMU detected on storm32 3-axis gimbal
Post by: ispagro12 on November 04, 2017, 11:06:38 AM
Hi,

I've been unsuccessfully trying to set up this storm32 3-axis gimbal from quadkopters since yesterday: http://www.quadkopters.com/product/fpv-kit-and-accessories/3-axis-brushless-gimbal-w-brushless-motor-storm32-controller/

It uses a Storm32 v1.1 board. I cannot get olliw's gui for the board to detect the onboard imu.
This is the message at startup:
  IMU is not available
  IMU2 is PRESENT @ HIGH ADR = on-board IMU
  MAG is not available
  STorM32-LINK is not available
  STATE is LEVEL
BAT is not connected, VOLTAGE is LOW: 0.00 V

There are no i2c errors, just IMU: none, IMU2: ok
I've scoured all the forums for this problem and it appears quite a few people have had the same issues. I've tried all the solutions suggested including reflashing different firmware versions on the board. It worked momentarily for about 2 or 3 times and then failed to detect again. I can't figure out what the problem is.

I was hoping if there was anyone here who's had the same issue with this storm32 controller could tell me how they got around to fixing it. I'd be so grateful.

Thanks!

EDIT: It is actually a clone v1.4 board
