Hello RC Armatures,
I'm a very beginner, I have got the Boscam TS351 200mw 5.8Ghz Tx and the RC805 Receiver. I tried every possible pair of the channels, nothing is getting me clear picture of the camera. But I get a poor transmission of video, when I set the Tx ant Ch2 and the Rx at Ch4. While some other channel pairs makes salt and pepper screen.
I connect my Rx to a 5V AC adapter for power supply and my Tx to a 3s Lipo battery, in which one cell dead.I cant understand this thing. Please help me anyone. What should I do? Its really frustrating.

Re:

Its simply straightforward. Put all your switches in off position in both tx and rx. Then plug in the battery.

Have you ever switched on the tx/rx without antenna? If so your tx could have been damaged and hence this result.

Try keeping the tx nd rx in a minimum of a meter distance.

I have a problem with range
I am using boscam 5.8 ghz 400mw system with 360 size quadcopter...With cloverleaf antenna ON both ends ....tx and Rc

My receiver is right above MY head attached to MY diy fpv goggle ....and antenna pointing straight Up to sky. ... and MY video tx is attached to rear ward side of quad antenna pointing towards ground ...powered with same lipo which is powering quad ..... both tx and rx are using 12v lipos. I am using channel 5 ON both tx and rx  ...MY problem is video gets blurred above 200 meters away and totally stuts down around 300meters but originally it is supposed to give more then 2 km range ....there are no Mobile towers near MY flying site atleast not in 1 km area ....  and read somewere that for hight altitude and long distance flights your antenna should point towards ground to avoid metal and plastic parts which 5.8 ghz frequency CAN not penetrate PLEASE give me Somee ideas .....before flight I did a range test for more then 500 meters but in flight with quadcopter it didn't gave that kind of range ....

Indian Revolution - 100% Pure 100% Hygienic

Boscam RX will work better when 12V DC is supplied.
The AV cable from RX is very fragile, make sure that fits in well.

Also, set both TX and RX at exactly the same band.

Cheers.

check tx power supply. It must be 9~12Volts and same applicable for rx. Check http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18972__Boscam_5_8Ghz_200mW_FPV_Transmitter.html

I am using 12 v lipo for both tx and rx units...

I am concerned about receiver atenna pointing upwards while tx antenna is pointing downwards is this setup is GOOD or it CAN cause range to be reduced By ...70% or SO roughly
