Title: Receiving FrSky Telemetry data on Android phone/tablet - Bluetooth Link
Post by: ashok baijal on February 22, 2015, 03:14:57 PM
Has anybody tried receiving FrSky telemetry data on his Android device using a Bluetooth bridge and FrSky Dashboard application? If so details required for connecting the FrSky DHT module to Bluetooth module. I understand the DHT module gives inverted signal and need a RS232 level converter before  a Bluetooth module can be attached. How to go about doing it?

HobbyKing sells a module for programming telemetry receivers(http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__16672__FrSky_Telemetry_Receiver_upgrade_USB_Serial_lead_interface.html (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__16672__FrSky_Telemetry_Receiver_upgrade_USB_Serial_lead_interface.html)) which appears to be a level converter using MAX232 IC. The files tab also has a picture showing the connections.

In the image attached the connection between VCC and 5V appears to be wrong as the voltage on the DHT side is not 5V. If it were so there was no need for the signal conversion! Expert views please.
