you can use receiver power supplies or search for any SMPS 6 V DC adapter with like more than 1A current rating.

you can make a NiMH pack which would be cheaper than above..

Again thanks for your reply gave me the idea to diy a battery pack using 4 aa batteries can u tell me how long my servos will run as such on this pack and by aa batteries i mean the one sold for 5 ruppes, also since my project is not a rc device can i use a rectifier i.e ac to dc converter to power my servos and are there any precautions to be taken.

also i am attaching to files one of the servo and other of the manufacturer please reply as best.

The specs shows its no load current draw of 700 mA.
First find out its stall current using ammeter and don't keep it stalled for too long.
for your servo I think it would need 2A at 5-6 V.
yes you can use a rectifier provided it can deliver required power.
see this one: http://www.instructables.com/id/Increasing-current-on-78xx-series-regulators/

Thanks for your reply and your help, really encouraging, will be using a diy pack temporarily and will make a rectifier circuit to power it longer.
