I need to buy basic electronic components like resistors , capacitors , diodes etc for building basic radio circuits.

I am looking for some store/website in India who can provide such assorted/mixed packs for cheap.
Most local stores dont sell them loose and or charge high prices when buying in small quantities.

I could find multimeters and brushless motors on ebay.in , but no electronic component packs as such.

That is available with one store here name gala electronics. they pack all important resistors and capacitors in one small box and dell.
if u say i can get one box of resistor and one box of cap. for you. if u want some other components do let me know.

What is the price like ? What is the quantity packed ?

see the pack contain small poly pack having 5 resistors or different values. see sample pic of box that box that contain the components.
Resistor are 25values having 5 each
Cap : 19 having 5 each

 hi, silver moon , normally in kerala, carbon resistor(1/4W) cost 25p and a ceramic capacitor costs 50p, whatsoever there values are!! 
but it is hard to find all values of R and C in a single shop  . If u go to an electronic shop at a busy hour , since there gain from R & C trade is too small they might tell u that the items are out of stock  . So better get the shop near midnoon  . Also the toatal cost of the box discribed by sandeep Bhai must be around  ((25 * 5) * .25) + ((19 * 5) * .50) =    78.75 + almost the same shipping cost .....

In Kolkata, Loose resistances you can buy only in few shops but costs more. Rather you can purchase in Dozen and price may be same (Not rate but total). I earlier purchased in dozen calculation but then switched in 200 Pc. Packet. Capacitor can be purchased in dozen as packs comes much higher. If you take decision to make DIY Electronics, I recomend to purchase in Packs for resistances. Now a days 100Pc packets are available for Rs.10/- in Kolkata. Disc capacitors less than 0.1uf costs 3 Nos/Rs and 0.1uF costsRs1/Pc. Higher value of capaciors with higher voltage level costs more. Transistors costs Rs1 (for BC548, BC558), Rs1.5 (for BF494, BF 495) Rs.2 (for J310, c945, c9018, c9014, 3904, 3906) Rs3 (D882, 1N13001, C123), Rs.5 (for 1N13005, C2233, LM7805), Rs 6 (SL100, SK100), Rs10 (LM 7810, LM7812) and higher for others like Rs.25-28 (2N3866, some UJTs, 2N3055, IRF840). Hope youcan get an idea.

i was searching for 1:10 kohm resistors in Erode,tamil nadu for the diy sim cable..couldn't find..

Passive SMD components are easily available in mumbai. if anybody wants resistors, cap. diods. do let me know.
NOTE : minimum 50 is must.
