can  be bought  from http://www.geekstuff4u.com/chobi-mini-digital-camera.html

Interesting ! Where you bought it from ? I have seen strikingly similar cam on E-bay, at much lower price ($50):
http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-DV-DVR-Video-Camera-Spy-Cam-SPYCAM-HD-1280x960-HOT-/260677024970?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb18fbcca

I guess specs also match to what your URL lists.

Have you already bought it ? I was considering this for my F*V setup. Does it provide a live VGA output while recording ? A sample outdoor recording would help me a lot

it's pretty tiny, it records reasonable 640x480 video in AVI format at 25 frames per second, and it can be set to standby for up to 250 hours until it's activated by a sound, making it a good little spy cam unit. costs less than US$25 on eBay, delivered to your door.  still concerned about quality, you might just as well buy five of the things in case four break. Which they're not doing nearly so much these days.

Have a look at this footage:

Go and read the specs if you want to - they're nothing particularly special. It's a simple USB spycam that's about the size of your thumb, In the case of the clip above, that's on a motorcycle helmet,

You can set it up in a room on audio-activated standby mode, where it will happily sit for nearly two weeks on a single battery charge, waiting for a noise to start it recording. It uses microSD, which means you can store up to 16GB of footage on it, and it plugs into your computer via USB (which also charges it) to let you transfer files.

And it's less than 25 bucks.

sorry for the disappointment ........

Yes Ajith, was real eager to find someone who has this CAM. There is so much less details, hardly any review, that putting $50 (or $196) without being assured it is of any use to me, is such a waste of money. Adding to it, expecting HD video of GoPro/Hero from these cams could be hope too high!

I had the Cam you shared right above. It was from Hobby King ($19+ shipping). Amazing image quality for the price. But had all the shortfalls for a CMOS sensor (Wavy image due to vibration from motor). Sadly the focusing gave way after a nose dive crash of a fellow flyer's plane.

Thanks for sharing your catch!
