Title: Which servo is suitable?
Post by: K K Iyer on October 25, 2015, 08:40:40 PM
Hi everyone,
Bought an unassembled CAP232 46 size from a friend.
Have an OS46AX.
Have no new std size servos.
Been years since i installed std size servos, or even built a glow model.
My SoloStar (ST 40) has Futaba servos that are about 10 years old. Never had a glitch.
I have 4 Sanwa std servos of 1980 vintage somewhere in my stuff that i can locate. Never had a glitch in use till about 1992.
Located HK Std servos (plastic gear) for Rs 330 each on robu.in
Have had about 6 servo failures out of perhaps 40 servos of 9-10gm HK/Turnigy/HXT (15%)
But none with small Hitec servos. In the last 3-4 years.

Seek advice on which servos to use in an aerobatic 0.46 model.
Thanks.

Have been using s3004's , yet to face a problem . Get a more fast servo for the rudder if you would be doing 3D.
