Title: alternative for balsawood fuselage? Post by: B.karthik on August 09, 2009, 09:25:30 PM I am preparing biofoam catapult launch glider with wingspan 0f 30cm and chord of 6cm.now i dont have balsawood for constructing the fuselage.what are the alternatives i could use for fuselage material?please help...

i will share with you an idea of reinforcing the biofoam it is really really effective first take two carbon rods (ask sai uncle) if you cant get them and use any wooden tube small one. attach them to the wing and the fuselage with hot glue or any other method you like. next take any clear tape (i use wonder-555) and coat the fuselage and the wing with it next step is to take the nose of your ho glue gun and gentle move over the surface of the tape it makes it shrink and hold on to it this is very durable subbu Title: Re: alternative for balsawood fuselage?
