Title: cheap fpv goggles...what aoptions do we have
Post by: Adityaamg on June 11, 2014, 06:56:50 PM
i recently stepped in fpv flying with my quadcopter. Now, because of a tight budget, i went with 5.8ghz setup and a 7inch monitor that was installed in my car. So i sit in the back of the car and fly looking at the monitor in front of me. But because of that, i was getting less range out of my fpv setup as the car would block out a fair amount of video signal.

So i made my own fpv goggles that allowed me to stand outside the car and fly. I had to get use to flying like this and it took me around 2 flights to get use to it. I fly close to myself which is less than 500m even though my setup allows me to go as far as 1.5kms. i have never used fatsharks, So i cannot really compare the difference between them.

and also i ordered these just minutes ago to test out.

With these HK goggles, you don't have to sit and cut and glue so much, and also the guess work of choosing the right lcd screen is eliminated. And last thing is that they are 1000rupees cheaper than what i made. I will do a review in them and tell you if they are worth buying or not.

if you have something to share, please write it down in this thread.

yes they will work with you fpv gear, but you will need to convert the video cable either to male or female depending on that cable gender you get with the goggles.
biggest issue is the resolution. these sellers claim something else and when you get the goggles, the actual resolution is not what they said it would be. i would not take such chance sir.
