@si74,
These are wing mounting bands or rubber motors?

@ Iyer sir, these bands are not that strong; so I think it is motor. And 8" long.

I tried the rubber bands from rcbazaar. the 2mm ones broke before 200 turns and the 4mm ones are too thick to go beyond 150 or 175 turns.
Or am I doing something wrong?
Lubricated the bands in castor oil before use.

Try tying two bands together before winding to 250.

^^. You mean parallel (to make it thicker) or linearly in a rubber band loop?
The latter has to have a longer fuselage and a bigger nose drop so that the centre of the rubber band (where the knot is) does not scratch with the wood fuselage causing friction. Have tried that before as well.

 :headscratch:

Yes,linear. But I added one usual semitransparent rubber band as well to boost power.

I used 48 cm balsa wood fuselage ; Tourniquet split to 2mm thickness 50 cm long mixed with usual 4" rubber bands 6 nos  ; and I could go easily upto 600 turns ( stretched it while winding still attached to prop) and gives decent flight time. Wings 60 cm span ( styroform plate) ; attached to fuselage using light weight packing foam
