It you tell me wing span and length it will be easier for me to tell you. If you are going to use covering film first time then better you watch some YouTube video tutorials. You need two things; one is iron for covering film and heat gun. You can find some alternative item for these two things like one my friend used to use small Chinese iron and hair drier. But right tools make the work easier and better so if you love to build models your own then better to have a proper thermostat control iron for covering film and one heat gun. Here is picture of Cosmo 25SR model plane which I built from a kit and covered with covering film by myself. Even this control line model I made myself and covered with wastage pieces of covering film.

You need one 2mtr roll. I am not sure because I never used those things but one of my friend used to use such things but now he also bought a proper iron for covering film, but yes hair drier or industrial use heat gun will work fine, heat gun you need only for use on wing or any hollow area covered with film.
