Title: DIY CA Kicker/Accelerator
Post by: yashodhanp on September 16, 2013, 08:07:25 PM
Hello,
I have made a DIY Balsa Kicker that seems to work fairly good for me. I am sharing the components below.
It basically has 2 components:
i. Iso-Propyl Alcohol (Available from shops that deal in Electronic Components)
ii. Sodium Bicarbonate (From the Kitchen or Some Store)

Method:
Make a saturated solution of the Sodium Bicarbonate and Iso Propyl Alcohol (Keep Adding the Baking Soda until no more dissolves)and filter or decant it into a small mister and use it.

N.B.: 1.  You can add less baking soda as well if you want, it will work just as well. Dont add too little Baking Soda, it wont give you the strength needed.
     2. DO NOT use water in the solution, it will make the joints flake off and leave a lot of mess and take quite long to dry. Not to mention incredibly weak joints.

Regards
Yashodhan

i will post the video link once the upload is completed
