Hello fellow rcindians, got tired of having to figure out how much to mix in two part epoxies Huh?

So made this syringe, to reduce the mess and take the guessing out. Tell me how to improve on this. I am currently using 5cc syringes with 13gm bondtite. It has yet to run a full set through, so will update on how well it accomplished the task. Best part is its reusable and locally available 2 part epoxies can be used. It cost me Rs.20 and the needleless tips are being used as caps.

Using something like this can help out people who use epoxy a lot in small quantities. dont know why local brands havent come out with this for the smaller quantities.

Just to show that making the syringe dispenser yourself isnt difficult.

Been done long ago!
A twin syringe epoxy dispenser was available 10-15 years ago in India.
Don't remember the brand: maybe Araldite or Fevitite.
May have been withdrawn due lack of demand, which may have been due to
1. Higher price compared to traditional 2 tube packing, or
2. Dispensing slightly unequal amounts due to possible difference in viscosity.

I remember that the pistons often used to run unequally, with the result that you ended up with more than required, in the effort to equalise.

The simple solution is to use a sheet with a grid drawn on it (like graph paper)
Put resin on one square and hardener on the next.
You can easily see if they are equal or not.

Sometimes the solution is more trouble than the problem!

KK sir, yes i know it has been available for long but  preferred epoxy brand might not have it. I have only seen araldite klear being sold in this form that too in bigger quantities.  Sad
Personally i dont like the smell of araldite klear and bondtite is a better option for me. In little quantites this tool works good enough. Thank you for the grid paper suggestion, will try that out Thumbs Up . The tubes really get messy after a while of use and start leaking so made it. My work table had a lot of epoxy here and there Giggle this definitely  reduces the mess.

Neil , i just put wraping tape on the table then accordingly mix aralite klear how much needed with a toothpick or something, after use just remove the tape and throw away....there you go  your work table is not messed up. yes i do waste some glue after use but once you get used to it you will get an idea how much to use.....
neil i would like to know what are you into slow flying planes or helis, which plance have you built and flown sucessfully i dont see any videos of yours. yes roman do the same, still i somehow manage to get some drops of epoxy here and there. I use piece of scrap depron with packaging tape on it. Will post plane pics and video soon Thumbs Up
Sandeep sir, yes i know its available but cost is quite high and you have to buy the syringe again just for the epoxy. Here 13gm 5min epoxy is Rs.40 and two 5cc BD Discardit syringes cost Rs.20.
Pretty cheap and everything available locally itself so no waiting for things and any locally available preferred epoxy can be used.

Will post a short build of this. One addition i would make in next one is connecting both pistons with a piece of plastic or wood. Making this takes about 5-7 mins including filling the epoxy in.
