That one is Extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam and not Biofoam, another name of biofoam is Depron. The one you got it is same thing as INSUboard.

The extruded polystyrene foam manufactured by biopac corporation is called biofoam .

Depron is a closed cell styrofoam foam in sheet form and Styrofoam is a trademark of The Dow Chemical Company for closed-cell extruded polystyrene foam. So basically they are all extruded polystyrene so they are very similar.

I bought 10 sheets of 5mm biofoam and were absolutely similar to the 100mm block of my extruded polystyrene.

I am also building a foamy out of it http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/my-new-foamy-!!!/

I have seen blue foam and this insuboard both, they both are same. I also have one model which is made of depron, but it has no similarity with blue foam/insuboard this I can tell you.

Yeah true, depron goes through a different chemical process at the end, but for me in Kolkata this extruded polystyrene works best.

INSUboard is not selling one board, they have sent me price of INSUboard:

Thickness: 25mm
Boards/Bag: 18
Sqr Mtr/Bag: 13.5
Rs. /Sqr Mtr * @Kolkata Godown: 250

Thickness: 50mm
Boards/Bag: 8
Sqr Mtr/Bag: 6
Rs. /Sqr Mtr * @Kolkata Godown: 500

* VAT EXTRA

I don't want to buy a bag of foam, so you tell me rohit where can I get one piece green/white board, colour doesn't matter.

Hopefully, you'll get one from here.

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.

The Godown is Roop Bhavan Ground Floor. Opposit of Shilpo Bhavan. The trade room is on the 7th floor. The lift you can get from first floor as the building designer forget to make lift Pit Wink. 2' x 8' x 4" costs Rs. 1200/- (inclusive all) in december. It has 1", 2" and 4" thickness. This is found after searching kolkata.

Similarly SunPack can be brought @ Rs.125/ per sheet for 3.75mm thickness 4.5' x 6.5' any color. 6mm thickness costs @Rs.250 per sheet of same 4.5'  x 6.5'. Its sold in Rajabazar Area. In the new Masjid 2nd floor, opposit Gali to Sealdah ESI Hospital.

Recently IHC make a workshop selling Glider kit @ Rs.350/- where VC's kit sold @80/- and he gifted me two @FREE, even postage by DTDC FREE . Yesterday I was bust to make sanding stick (Sandpaper glued on Icecream stick), though I have jewel file, but I prefer to make like other students. Sad to see VC, Robbery is going in the name of Aeromodeling and from the shop where your nostalgic sweet memory starts. Workshop has several expendature like arrangement, tiffin, gifting, transport, and profit. But while direct selling, this is too much to me and that is why  am telling this as robbery.

Thanks VC not only for your gift but also for your devoted life to modeling.

The all shops and dealer's address are found with Rohit and with good wishes from VC, Soikatda and Sethji (Who previously not found proper material at kolkata at proper price). Now, we found the cheapest of this forum perhaps Rohit !

Rajib bhaiya tell them you want Extruded polystyrene of 25mm thickness. Contact that person Amit. He'll tell you the price and will also keep one ready for you. Just go to that place where Kalyan da has told and get it from there.

Recently IHC make a workshop selling Glider kit @ Rs.350/- where VC's kit sold @80/- and he gifted me two @FREE, even postage by DTDC FREE .
This was very sad to see. The workshop was a part of our college sp4mm3r and India Hobby Centre was contacted for this workshop as they are the only RC shop in kolkata. They distributed the Tiny Tot Chuck glider 28cms manufactured by Aurora and superimposed by a sticker of IHC. They also bought a multiplex parkmaster and a nitro heli for display. Palash flew the multiplex acromaster. As expected all the students seeing this for the first time were quite amazed by the small show and so everyone flocked around the IHC guys. Palash told them the multiplex parkmaster would cost Rs11000. On RCD it is available for about 7.5 K. Furthermore, they distributed the gliders for Rs 350 each and all of my friends and other students were asked to visit IHC to buy RC airplanes, etc.

Sorry for bumping into the thread Rajib bhaiya.

Thank you Harsha for sharing photographs with us. I know this foam, but this is not what I was talking about. Today I went to Korona Corporation, I have seen same type foam what you have, they told me it is EPE but at Chadni Chowk market people name it as kini foam. But they also have XEPS foam and I am going to buy one board from them very soon but they are asking too much price now.
