both will do - the hex screw driver will be a bit easier
than the allen key - what is important is the quality - metallurgy
and precision/fit.

I have for years buying allen keys chopping them off in 1/2" lengths and brazing
them to old screw driver shafts - that way you can make 3/4 hex screwdrivers
with one allen key.

also when the tip gets rounded - just grind off 1 - 2 mm and viola
as good as new.

you will not be able to do it

- take it to a garage which does bodywork
for cars and buses. - ask for gas welding.

I have access to a fully equipped workshop
so no problem for me.

Saikat sir, brazing the allen key heats it.
So, doesnt it alter the property of allen-key material.?. Bang Head Bang Head

I think this is the reason why your tip gets round..

Hex drivers make life very easy. I'm speaking from my experience with cars. When you need to take 4 screws off with those tiny allen keys, it's a chore. With a hex driver, it's a dream. And when you're doing a complete build/assembly/reassembly, the hex driver will cut down on time used and will not make you want to cut your fingers off.....
