RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

A lot of times, ARFs come with ailerons, elevators and rudders that need to be connected with fiber cloth type of hinges, and the instructions say that you can use CA to fix the hinges.  Most CAs set within seconds, and one may have 4 hinges that need to go into 4 thin slots on the wing etc.  In short, one small mistake, you end up with one hinge out of position or the entire control surface not in the right position etc.

How does one correctly connect the control surfaces with quick setting glues in tiny slots ?

What I've done with no errors is to dry fit the fiber hinges and the control surface first and then add CA to the joint. Like insert the fiber hinges, then the aileron and ensure that the wing and ailerons are perfectly aligned and then using a fine capillary tube inject CA to the  hinge. Ensuring that the hinge itself is properly centered in the slot.

I haven't tried this but i hope this process will definitely work. here is the drawing for same:

How to connect control surfaces with hinges using CA/glue

Sorry if drawing is not clear. Instead of pouring CA glue to the Hing slot, better will be to drill small hole on top of the hing wing or what to hinged. align the hing properly and drop a single drop of CA glue on top of the drilled holes. in the picture above you will notice orange color, i marked that as the CA glue.
I will try this method on my model one day soon.
