What is really important is for people to come back and report on locations and availability of such items.  I hope someone from Bangalore investigates the above outlet (or other sources of the same item), and report the findings here. 

Scratch building is a wonderful way to make this hobby affordable.

Hi Anwar, Can you please post a link where an RC plane is built using Lexan sheet? I tried googling but no use :-[

Sorry for my stupid quesion above, after googling a lot came to know its used for windows of a plane. :giggle: I had thought the whole plane was built using it.

Anwar, i bought the polycarbonate roofing sheet from Alpha only. There are many shops on SJP road who sells these. It may be difficult to get cut sheets thouigh

Thanks Mr Ashta. We went for the hunt on the SJP road, but could not find any open shops as it was already a bit late (8 PM). Could you please suggest any shop you bought from (bill/credit card statement may help :D )

We even went to Iyengar Road (road oppsite to road on which National market is located), And there were few Plywood/Veneer shops  which looked promising, but again closed for the day:D

1. To my best knowledge, EPP is not available in India/ bangalore.
2. But prashant had Depron sheets many sizes who had bought bulk for the conveneince of all of us.
3. For Lexan sheets, i got it from SJP road. Do not remember the shop but it is displayed outside many shops and you are unlikely to miss it if shops are open.

While you guys are at buying the Polycarbonate sheets, please check what paints stick to them. Will help me.

Update! LEXAN sheets available @NYLOKING, SP road, bangalore. Got it for my quad from there. Its Opposite to KARTHIK COMPLEX.

Price of Lexan sheets please. What thickness, length and width?

Got two 5mm thick sheets 180mmx180mm for 700. Pretty expensive!

Hey what is this lexan sheets? is it any kind of frp like material..
I bought Frp for  :Rs: 200 for a sheet of 2mm think and 450x300mm here..  very stiff and comparatively less weight..

@arun, Lexan is the brand name for polycarbonate produced by SABIC innovative plastics, formerly known as GE plastics. Pls refer to the above replies ;D

Is it stiff enough to use in your quad? actually i was in a plan to order some CF sheets 2mm from HK, for my orni..
I am coming to banglore on thursday.. Will these avail in 2mm think.? Or go for Cf itself? ???
