Title: Looking for Neo Magnets retailer (LHS) - For BL Motors & Actuators
Post by: KALYANPRODHAN on September 15, 2011, 12:30:01 AM
Hi,

for micro actuators, and micro BL Motors, neo magnets are required for more power in less weight. Ferrite magnets are too bulky rather power.  :help:

If anyone have idea from where we can get, Neodymium Magnet in loose quantity, please mention. Does any LHS stock it?  :banghead:Any low cost gazette containing the neo magnet from where I can get it and cost effective too ? Please don't say BL Motors. >:D

I have looked even inside magnetic button, but surprisingly, all ferrite magnets and useless for Aeroplane where every milligram is valuable. Net is flooded with bulk suppliers in india, but I need small amount.

:help: Any type of help even criticism In the path of success WELCOME. :help:
:help: Even the price list or specification table of production WELCOME. :help:

What about the magnets sold by hobbyking, are they also ferrite? I have a few of them, they are light weight and super strong. DealExtreme also has some magnets.

Thanks for the info SunLikeStar,

Hope in near future, LHSs will stock them. They are extremely low priced as seen in hobbyking and can be added with any order if they are readily available to them. Only 1cm square and round sheet like magnets are available to them.

But there is no cylindrical 2 pole structure that can be used as rotor of in-runner BL Motors,
and
even the poles of DC Motors. If anyone have the local supplier's address for loose purchase, please inform.

It is not cylindrical, but a bar type.If it helps you, i can ship it to you.

Found neo-magnets inside the decorative solar flower pot with leaves that swings while light available. 10mm dia, 1mm thick round neo magnets with solar panel, COB, Coin shaped repulsive coil. it accidentally found by my driver while cleaning glass and broke it.
It found everywhere for < :rs: 70/-

Another information unknown to me earlier that the rare earth material found mostly in Tibet and that is why, china is the main cheap source of neo-magnets.
