Title: Motor spray required! Post by: 1firefly2 on March 01, 2013, 01:45:26 PM Hello guyz,
I am in need for a motor spray like this: http://www.rcboca.com/duratrax-power-shot-motor-spray-cleaner-12oz.html From where I can procure it. Does any hobby shop stocks it? Any other Motor spray will do fine. Thanks & Best Regards, Title: Re: Motor spray required! Post by: sanjayrai55 on March 01, 2013, 01:50:02 PM Many modellers swear by Ethylene Glycol (Radiator Coolant). Heat it undiluted and soak your engine in it, comes out spanking clean

Post by: iamahuman on March 01, 2013, 03:19:38 PM You can go for non- chlorinated brake cleaner.
Electric contact spray will also do the job. Title: Re: Motor spray required! Post by: stringer.6 on March 01, 2013, 05:54:36 PM You can go for non- chlorinated brake cleaner. Title: Re: Motor spray required! Post by: 1firefly2 on March 01, 2013, 07:50:38 PM Thanks guys...
I have to use it on the screws & parts of a kit before assembling it as per the manual. That's why I am asking. During kit assembly, what kind of motor spray they are talking about. Would the products suggested by members here do the job? ??? Title: Re: Motor spray required! Post by: sanjayrai55 on March 01, 2013, 07:57:08 PM During assembly WD 40 is fine. Any Hardware/Paint shop
Title: Re: Motor spray required! Post by: iamahuman on March 01, 2013, 08:29:22 PM They suggest de-greasing the screw before loctiting it, right?
In that case, I wouldn't use WD-40. Title: Re: Motor spray required! Post by: 1firefly2 on March 02, 2013, 12:01:47 AM Thats what I think...
As stringer.6 has suggested: http://shop.cardekho.com/exterior-cleaners/abro-heavy-duty-engine-degreaser~13461.html It seems a product to go for. What you use iamahuman? Title: Re: Motor spray required! Post by: iamahuman on March 02, 2013, 09:26:38 AM I don't need a heavy duty de-greaser.
I used a prototype from a company called OKS for a while and it was pretty good. The heavy duty de-greaser mentioned will work with screws but be careful with it around plastics. Title: Re: Motor spray required! Post by: 1firefly2 on March 03, 2013, 02:06:35 AM OK thanks.
