In card, then in balsa.

No success with boiling water or hair dryer either.

Request suggestions.

Bob Smith Industries 20 min Finish Cure Epoxy from Hobbyking.
Also used Wonderwood PU from Asian Paints. Easier to use, but not as strong as epoxy.
For small parts you can use CA.

Though the cowl was unsuccessful, the canopy came out quite well!

use petrol/acetone it will eat the foam away and why don't you build a vacuum bagging setup ?

Edit: Finish and weight will be much better.

KK sir or simply look for a pet bottle ( pepsi / coke ) of right size..... you might get a perfect fit.

Secondly u can put it on the the Fiberglass nose you made, and use heat gun/ hairdryer... it will shrink a bit to right size...

Have a look at this to get some Idea....

hope it helps.

@rastsaurabh,
Thanks.
The problem is my hairdryer is simply not hot enough.
Tried boiling water. It works, but have to make a new plug as this one is now too limp, having removed the foam core (finally) with a soldering iron!

New plug made.
Pet bottle loaded.
But,
Five minutes in boiling water could not shrink the Pet Bottle beyond this!
