Post by: Jatayu on November 21, 2010, 03:49:04 PM
Hello all!! ;D

I wanted to know wat is the best commonly available paint suitable for use on laminated depron foam :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch:....
By commonly available, i mean easy to get anywhere and not like spray paints and spray guns etc!!

Thank you,
Skanda

All Acrylic paints are ok on depron. Try the Fevicryl or acrylic from Hobby Ideas.

"Laminated" would not be that simple, right ?  Time for some 800 grit sandpaper ?

Thank you....but will it stay on laminated depron?? coz i tried out fabric paints and they seem to dry well when applying but later if u just touch the depron it sticks to your finger....

If your lung power is good then ordinary sketch pens are good. Remove the cap at the rear end and blow hard and you get a "blow-powered" air brush. Or fabric paints with the "thinner" that comes with it. That won't peel off.

Yes, these colors settle well, but leave a kind of stickiness behind. The stickness will stay for a long time but eventually become very weak in 10-15 days. The best part is .. incase your model gets a bit dirty (like fingerprints or some dust /dirt) you can easily wipe it off with a moist duster and it will be like new without fading/removing the paint. :)
Hope it helps :)
