Title: Pull Pull setups and ackerman
Post by: gauravag on September 25, 2009, 03:45:26 PM
Guys,
I have been building a 60 size airplane, and was thinking of using a Pull-Pull setup on the rudder. This would be my first attempt to using Pull Pull. Read a few articles, and was wondering how many of you induce Ackerman into this ? ie move the center of control horns a little behind the hinge line to induce slack on the non-control line.
Would be great if you can share your view on this setup.

Although pull-pull is common, "Ackerman" was something completely new to me.  This link provided a great explanation.

Looks like it provides an effect similar to differential gears in automobile axles.
