Don't wake a Tiger until you've factored the teeth

Fevicryl is a water based acrylic paint (you can clean the brush and your hands with water too  Grin)

It doesn't etch anything, and dries to become waterproof!

Cheap too Cheesy

If weight is not an issue, you may also try fabric colours.

A technique that i used to color and strengthen some objects was epoxy, if you are reinforcing your plane with epoxy and fiber then just mix acrylic color or soft/hard pastel powder of desired color with it, i have done this with araldite Grin.

It is the propellant used in these spray cans that eats into the foam. You need to spray it on the foam from a distance of about 1'. I have successfully used the readily available spray paint cans (Bosini brand I think) for painting foam with this technique. It will need a little practice though. Hope this helps.
